my angel baby
(alastor w/ angel daughter reader)
[caution!!: EPISODE 8 & 6 SPOILERS. NOT PROOFREAD]
(notes: alastor joins charlie and vaggie in heaven to convince them about the hazbin hotel. angel reader physically resembles a fawn. )
(right now this is considered a oneshot, unless there is a very high demand for a part 2 I'll happily make another one for funzies!)
(PART 2 IS OUT!!!)
(also apologies if alastor's last name isnt actually altruist LMAo I kinda just wrote it assuming so 😭 )
You made it to heaven, lucky you.
Heaven was surely a treat, you lived your days with the upmost happiness, the light of heaven shining on your skin with kisses as if praising you for your goodness and your sacrifices,
all your sacrifices.
You were currently taking the job over for St. Peter at the gates of heaven for just a few minutes to await for any wondering souls to appear, to help guide them while he came back from a lunch break. Normally they wouldn't allow a human soul like yourself with little experience in this kind of task to take charge of such an important job, but you were close to many of the high ranking angels and you have proved your proficiency in tasks that you set your mind to, so you were glad to help those in need.
You stood there reading through the millions of pages looking over all kinds of names, all seemed like names that you wouldn't normally hear back in your time when you died. Some you liked, others didn't exactly pique your interest much, but the advancement of names since the 1930s surely proved how much times have changed and how quickly time seems to pass in heaven.
You wonder if it is in hell too.
'Hell?..' you wondered as you shook your head and sighed, your mind has been on that place lately and you wondered if it was even worth the rent free space in your mind.
You were currently slouched over the book and decided to close it with a glum look on your face, your elbows now resting on the golden podium and your hands cupping your face.
Geez, and you've been thinking a lot about your old man.
What-- no wait-
You shouldn't call him your old man, let alone your dad, not even father, pops-- not even by his damn name.
Even so, as much as you hated it.. you couldn't help but still use his last name sometimes since it's what you were given when you were first taken in.
Your last name?.. why, you're forgetting already?
_____ Altruist is who you a---
"HELLO??"
You snapped out of your thoughts as your head slipped from under your palms, face planting onto the cover of the enormous book. In embarrassment you snapped your head back up and your wings followed suit, spreading open behind you in shock as your eyes searched for the voice that called out to you from below.
You finally darted down to see three oddly shaped figures, your panicked vision soon relaxing to see two girls and a man dressed in red from tip to toe.
How peculiar.
Your eyes only set on the girl at the moment since she was the one waving at you and basically begging for your attention.
"Hello hello! uh.. Down here!" The girl with long locks of pale yellow hair waved, her smile widening when seeing she's caught your attention.
"Ah- yes yes! Hello hello! Welcome to Heaven! May I.. uh-" you scrambled nervously to open the book in the middle of it, "May I have your name please?"
She nodded, also returning a bit of a shy attitude back "Yes of course! My names Charlie Morningstar!"
Just like that you flicked the pages to go to the names that sounded similar to the girl's, mumbling her name under your breath as your finger traced down each name on the list.. to your dismay you couldn't find it.
"You don't seem to be on the list ma'am.. how weird.. does this usually happen with St. Peter?.." you spoke in concern, mumbling the last part to yourself.
The girl then started to explain something about her dad getting her a meeting, your mind a little clouded still trying to find her name until you heard the forbidden name that no one inside the pearly gates ever attempted to say out loud.
"-- maybe try, Lucifer.. Morning...star-"
And just like that you slammed the book closed, no words coming out of your mouth but an exasperated look of shock freezing your face.
"Oh-hoho... that explains so much--" you gave her a small sheepish smile, awkwardly looking off to the side where your eyes couldn't help but drag themselves to the man dressed in red.
"Miss you don't think.. you could've..." your eyes at first looked at the man's waist, his coat lightly shredded at the ends and the stripes of the long suit guided your eyes upwards "-gotten..." up and up and your eyes met his. The red eyes, the ears, the small horns, the horrific aura, and..
Oh dear, you'd recognize that damned smile anywhere.
"--lost..?" the end of your sentence dragged on, taking a long while to finish since all you could think about is how this man is at the front door step of the place he shouldn't even be considered in being let to enter.
Alastor, your father from the living realm. Not connected by blood but by life and connection.
The man where you got your last name from by being taken in and called his daughter.
The red deer demon seemed to recognize you as well, a spark in his devilish eyes proved it so, but it was very brief since he more or less also seemed to relish the look on your face with his smile stretched further up.. however further up it could get.
Charlie seemed concerned at your reaction, waving her hand in front of your face gently as if to get you out of this trance. "Heyyy... are you okay?.." she asked with genuine worry until all of you were focused away from this bizarre moment when a set of three angels befell before you all. The two seraphims and finally-- St. Peter off from his break.
"_____. We can take it from here, we appreciate the help." The highest and oldest seraphim announced your name and her appreciation while gliding down a bit more earlier than the blonde angel you covered for, she and the younger seraphim's forms going from their true to more human-like appearances.
"_____! My dear friend thank you so much for covering for me, always a real helper you!" St. Peter popped beside you as he praised you while gently flying beside you, you looked up at him with a small nervous smile before opening your own wings to flap down from his podium and let him get back on the job.
"It's no problem at all, you know me! Always.. happy to help.." you spoke your last words to him before your wings gently took you down to set yourself beside another one of your friends, Emily! You never talked much to Sera that wasn't in a formal setting but Emily seemed so easy to get along with. She gave you a tight squeeze of a hug while saying hello which eased your nerves a bit more, of course they never fully disappeared with the man who ruined everything before you let out your last breath.. standing right in front of you.
The man that brought you up here in the first place.
The seraphims introduced themselves to the three residents of hell, the deer demon more quiet until finally finding a spot of silence to jump in and introduce himself as well.
"Why hello, a real pleasure meeting you two quite the pleasure! Never thought I'd ever get to see an angel up this close in my life HAHA! The names Alastor!"
The voice, the radio static over it, his name.
It was him, you recognized it as if you listened to him on the radio just yesterday, your own personal hell.
Whatever reaction or words the higher ranked angels said seemed to fizzle out of your brain as they were replaced with the memories of your last moments on earth.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Father!" you screamed as you ran up to your childhood home, the home to which you were raised and kept in, your home in which you lived in with your father, Alastor Altruist.
For sometime you had suspected foul play when it came to your father's weird actions when the night came, the tone he spoke through his radio show when announcing several murders happening across and haunting New Orleans. You just didn't want to truly believe that the man that found you, a poor little orphaned baby, and raised you would do such disgusting and diabolical crimes.
You couldn't believe it.. until you finally saw it.
Your legs scrambled and fought each step to become faster, finally reaching the door of your home you slammed it open with a strong kick after jiggling the doorknob didn't work.
You knew the next murder he would commit would happen in your home.. you thanked whatever force that made you disobey him and look through his study since if you didn't you wouldn't know that right now there was blood to be shed.
The door opening and with your kick full of adrenaline and panic it made the door barley cling onto it's hinges. There your father was, on top of a wounded man that seemed to be gurgling and gasping to breathe as the victim attempted to claw at Alastor's grasp. Pieces of glass and wood broken across the entire floor, walls bloodied and worn out, pictures that hung neatly now cracked and lopsided or shattered on the floor.
Whatever happened in here, the victim was sure a fighter in the beginning.
You immediately without hesitation with full force pushed Alastor off the man, pulling the bloodied stranger by his wrist. The victim and you stared for a moment, him mostly realizing that he's being saved by a young girl like you. His lips parted to thank you but you could see Alastor raise his kitchen knife in the air and sprinted toward him to stab him on the back.
With no words left to share or spill you grabbed the stranger by the shoulders and with all your might pushed him and yourself away so that in the end Alastor ended up stabbing nothing but air.
Alastor grunted in frustration, his bloodied smile yet never faltering despite the challenge you now gave him.
The man snapped his head at you, eyes fixated at you before snapping back to his victim and raising his knife up once more, in a haunting motion his steps creeped and creaked towards the injured New Orleans citizen stricken with fear and terror.
Just like that, Alastor slams his knife down with no hesitation. The knife fully in his prey with no inch of the blade uncovered.
Oh-- wait.
That shriek, the sobs, the shaky breathing and the coughs of blood.. that wasn't his victim.
It was you.
His daughter, he stabbed his daughter.
For a moment you could see his crazed smile falter, the humane part of him uncovering itself for a moment, for you.
His little girl was covered in her blood because of him, the little baby he found on that cold rainy day is dying because of him, his bundle of joy that he took years to take care of is leaving him.. and it's all his fault.
He didn't know it was you-- he didn't know you'd be that stupid to sacrifice yourself for some random prick.
He didn't know that in the end, someone as evil as him could have raised someone as selfless as you.
"p..papa..?" you whimpered, your painful coughs of blood spilling out and going down your chin and your neck. "It hurts-- g.. it hurts so much papa.." you cried as the knife in your chest seemed to feel as if it was melting into your skin, becoming one with you. It obviously wasn't but the pain was just that painful.
Alastor's smile faltered and kept trying to stay up, his own set of tears falling down his face and onto your cheeks that were slowly losing life. Regret stabbing his own heart the way he did to yours. He let go of the knife and instead cradled you in his arms, just like how he used to when you would have nightmares as a little girl.
"Shh.. Shh.." he shush you softly as he gently patted your head, moving away any uneven strands of hair he could spot with his hands trembling in regret. "Little one.. don't worry about a thing, papa's here.. " he mumbled, the gentleness replacing what once was pure aggressiveness.
Your eyes slowly started to flutter closed, your pulse slowing down, breathing less profound, your limbs going limp, and your face.. contorting into a peaceful state of slumber.
Alastor watched as you passed in his arms, his faltering smile picking itself up once more to stretch itself across his face with tears pouring out his eyes. This wasn't a smile of joy, it was a smile to hide what he truly felt.. to lie to himself. "My little angel, forgive me please."
Those were his last words to you, words that in the end you couldn't hear.
And that man he tried to kill earlier? He escaped when he was given the chance, Alastor was sure the cops were to invade his home soon.. now there was just one thing left to do before he'd be found once again to pay the consequences.
He took your body to a beautiful forest filled with flower meadows. Alastor knew this was one of your favorite spots as a young girl, why not let you rest here.
Ah but as he was preparing to bury you in your final resting place... that darn deer hunter.
Well, you know the story. Mistaken for a deer, shot, that's the end of Alastor Altruist and his darling daughter, ______ Altruist.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you stood there you were awoken from your thoughts with the high angels escorting the princess and her other female companion into the gates of heaven, St. Peter welcoming them humbly with one of heaven's popular songs.
You were frozen, in shock. A chill went down your spine as you felt a foreign energy come closer.
You felt long fingers grapple themselves onto your shoulder which made you dramatically turn towards the hand and away from it.
Your father wanted to talk to you.
Your contrasting colors and appearances made this reunitement even more uncomfortable for you, his demon form seeming to match his disgusting self that he hid from the human world before.
His face was hard to read, especially with that signature smile of his that even in death he would never get rid of.
"Little one, my darling daughter.." he spoke, his voice seemingly trying to seem genuine but the radio filter over it made it feel condescending to you.. as if mocking you.
The look on your face was evident, you missed him so much but hated him with your entire being because of that hidden side he kept for years.
He continued "My little ____... out of all places I never thought I'd see you here. Oh but it's definitely much better than down under my little dove.."
Geez what was he even saying?? What were his intentions..?? You couldn't tell.. after all this time, you couldn't forgive this man, this serial killer, this demon, this.. monster. You couldn't.. not this soon anyways.
You took a deep inhale and exhale before fixing your posture and stance, trying to seem more professional and confident. "Sir, your hosts and companions are ahead of you. You wouldn't want to miss your introduction to a place you'll never see again after this day." Your voice stern and professional, trying your best to be void of emotion.
"Darling.. is that truly a way to greet your dear ol' father?" He spoke, hand stretched out while the other held onto his staff.
"Your friends are waiting on you, don't be late Alastor."
Just like that you turned your heel and gave him the cold shoulder, your wings spread and started flapping. Taking you up and away further into your home.. Alastor watched you as you left him once again, this time by choice.
Ah but he knew, he'd have his darling daughter back soon. His little angel that he cared for will forgive him.. he knew you had to.
With his grin widening even further he walked to catch up to the Princess of hell and her partner into the pearly gates, to see what other thing could entertain him while his daughter snapped back to her senses.
(hello!! thank you so much for reading I had a blast with this. as you can tell. once again thank you so much for reading! hope to see you soon! mwa mwa!)

and we both drew blood
jj maybank x fem!pogue!reader
Tumblr media
cw — p in v, slight jealousy, angst, fluff, alochol consumption, happy ending
summary — after everything finally builds up, you tell jj how you feel.
a/n — thank you for the request!! i really hope i did well but i kinda wrote this fast so please forgive me if it sucks. please request more!
do not copy or post my work anywhere else.
your hands mindlessly gripped the sheets of your bed, whimpering when he hit that deep spot inside of you as he thrusted into you from behind. “oh fuck, j. i‘m gonna cum,” you babbled out as best you could without stuttering.
jj huffed out a laugh and gripped your hips a little tighter to pull you back against him in time with his thrusts. “yeah? ‘m close too,” he mumbled in response as he began to speed his pace up. “cum for me, baby. wanna feel your pretty little pussy squeezin’ my cock.”
you closed your eyes and bit down on your lip to suppress a scream theatening to leave your lips. one of his hands reached around and underneath you to rub tight circles on your clit, making you cry out and moan in overwhelming pleasure. “oh my fuck,” you spluttered between pants. “i’m coming—fuck, jj!”
“always such a good girl for me,” he mumbled, focused on the sight of him sliding in and out of you and a white ring formed around the base of him. he continued rubbing your clit quickly to ride your orgasm out. “shit, baby. so fuckin’ tight around me. squeezin’ me so good. best pussy i’ve ever had.”
you felt tears slip past the corners of your eyes as he fucked into you harder and quicker until he was pressing himself as deep into you as he could and filling you with his warm cum. he smoothed his hands down your aching back and leaned down to kiss the skin of your spine. “that’s it, angel. jus’ fuckin’ take it,” he rasped out while still gently caressing your skin.
when he finally began to soften inside of you, he slowly and carefully pulled out before laying another kiss to your skin then disappearing off to the bathroom to grab a towel. he ran it under warm water, wringing the excess out and returning to you.
he gently grabbed your thighs and turned you over onto your back so you could lay comfortably. “you still with me, sweetheart?” he asked considerately.
“mhm,” you hummed, eyes closed as you tried to catch your breath. your hips jerked when he ran the towel over your spent cunt to clean you up.
jj chuckled softly before launching the fabric to your bucket of dirty laundry and laying down beside you. he pulled you into his chest, your head against the firm muscle and his hands making quick work to throw the blanket over the two of you. “need anythin’ from me? water? a snack?” he questioned.
you shook your head and curled into him further. “i’m good. jus’ tired,” you slurred, still slightly out of it and very very sleepy.
“i’ll head out then and let you get some rest,” he said and pressed a soft kiss to your temple.
before he could make another move, you quickly objected. “want you to stay a little longer, j. you’re warm.”
he smiled to himself and shuffled a little bit to get comfortable, knowing he’s probably be here for an hour or two.
the next night, everyone was gathered around at the boneyard for another kegger like they often did on warm summer nights. kooks, pogues, and tourons on littered across the beach with red solo cups in their hands and music playing through the air.
“hey! where were you last night?” sarah asked as he and kiara approached when they finally saw you arrive. “we waited for like, half an hour before we gave up on you.”
you saw the knowing look on kie’s face, rolling your eyes and looking down at your cup of beer. “yeah, sorry guys, something came up and i was stuck at home.”
the brunette couldn’t help but snort. “did the ‘something’ have to do with jj?” she teased, wiggling her eyebrows. “john b and pope said he never showed to the chateau last night.”
you looked around, wondering how you could get out of this even though you already knew you were busted. “you know,” you began with absolutely no clue where to go with this. “somethings happen.”
kiara immediately smiled and clapped her hands then pointed at sarah. “i told you! you owe me twenty bucks,” she said excitedly. “it’s not that hard to find out, babe. we all know you guys are hooking up.”
you shrugged and took another sip of your drink. “i mean, its not exactly a secret.”
sarah gave you a knowing look. “i don’t get why you don’t just tell him how you feel. we all know you guys have liked each other for years.”
shaking your head, you waved off the idea. “i doubt he feels the same way about me and i’m not gonna embarrass myself if he doesn’t,” you replied honestly. “and besides, i like where we’re at right now.”
kiara rolled her eyes and shook her head in disbelief. “oh, come on. no you don’t. you’re upset because you wish there was more between you guys,” she stated. “hanging onto these little bits and pieces is only hurting you more in the long run.”
“guys, it’s not that big of a deal. we just hookup casually every now and then and thats it. i’d rather have some part of him than have nothing at the end of the day,” you admitted. “and it’s not hurting me, i’m fine!”
sarah tilted her head at you, as if to say ‘seriously?’ “dude, we all see it. you’re getting your hopes up and then he’s just letting you down. just tell him how you feel and then at least if he says he doesn’t want anything, then you can move on peacefully and live your life without delusions.”
kiara nodded in agreement. “she’s right babe. we don’t wanna attack you or anything or come off as rude, we jus’ wanna see you happy and you’re obviously not right now,” she said softly and sincerely. “you should really tell him how you feel. i’m sure you’ll be pretty happy with how it turns out.”
you chewed your bottom lip anxiously and looked around to see what was going on only to feel your heart begin to break in your chest. jj was leaned up against a tree with a girl clinging to his arm. she almost looked like you in a way. same hair color and length, similar facial features, similar build.
it made your lip wobble and your stomach turn uncomfortably. “i really appreciate that guys, but i’m just gonna head back to the chateau for a little bit,” you whispered, not trusting your own voice.
the two followed your gaze to jj and the girl, both their faces dropping in a matter of seconds. “do you want us to come with you?” sarah asked softly.
when you shook your head and sniffled to stop the tears, kiara took you into her arms and gave you a tight hug. “you’re gonna be okay. you’re one of the strongest people i know.”
you smiled sadly before the two wished you off with gentle reassuring affirmations. you made the long walk to the chateau in silence as you sipped on what was left of your alcohol and thought about what to do next.
you couldn’t realistically continue this fling with him if he was messing with another girl, even though you technically had no reason to be upset. you were friends with benefits, not dating or exclusive. he was allowed to do whatever he pleased.
yet the nights he’d stay over after making you feel better than you ever had, fucking you so soft and sweet, kissing you so passionately when he’s buried inside you, defending you around everyone, protecting you always, opening up to you about his most personal details, complimenting you every chance he gets. you didn’t understand why he’d do all these things just to go off with someone else.
once you finally arrived, you’d immediately walked over to the fridge to grab a bottle of vodka and your old cup. you quickly poured yourself a shot, or two, or three. you didn’t really remember. you also couldn’t remember how much time had passed since you had left the party.
you’d found yourself standing at the shoreline of the beach directly outside of the front door to the chateau. you stood barefoot in the warm sand just far back enough to where the water couldn’t touch you.
you crossed your arms over your body to preserve some of the heat before sighing and rolling the kinks out of your neck. you felt your body and mind start to slowly relax from the various shots you’d taken. it felt like everything had finally gone quiet.
unfortunately for you, that didn’t last long. “hey! where’ve you been? i’ve been looking all over for you. i thought something might’ve happen to you,” jj half shouted as he approached you from the direction of the boneyard. “what happened, cupcake? sarah and kie told me you weren’t feelin’ too hot.”
you couldn’t help but scoff at his words. “looking all over for me?” you repeated as a question. he had to have been lying.
he looked almost confused. “yeah…you’ve been gone for like an hour,” he replied. “i checked the whole party for you.”
“was that before or after you were all over that girl?” you blurted out. you almost instantly regretted it. you didn’t even really want to know.
his expression changed into one you couldn’t quite read. “what?” he asked, voice just above a whisper now. “i went searching for you the moment you left kiara and sarah.” you shook your head in disbelief and turned your head back at the ocean. “i don’t get it. what did i do wrong?”
you took a deep breath and hugged your body tighter when a strong gust of wind blew past you. “i’m not gonna keep doing this jj. god, you’re so oblivious!” you snapped finally, turning your full body to see his. “i mean, at this point i feel like i’m throwing myself at you! i’m always trying to be around you, catering to you, showing you that i’m here for you, asking you to hang out— i even agreed to be fucking friends with benefits just to have something with you!”
you stopped for a minute and sighed. “i ask you to stay the night, to just hold me whenever theres a chance, i ask you to run errands and shit with me just to spend time with you jj. i can’t make it anymore clear how much i like you and i feel like you’re giving me signals sometimes that maybe you feel the same way but then the next day you just act like nothing happened and the inconsistency is killing me!”
jj looked stunned. like he would’ve never seen this coming in a million years as if it weren’t totally noticeable. the pogues all saw they way they felt about each other except them.
“if you don’t want me or see anything, can you please just say that?” your voice shook slightly as you spoke as if the conversation was starting to sober you up and the confidence you once had is gone. “i really fucking like you jj and its really hard to keep acting like everything we do means nothing to me because thats just not true. if you see me as nothing more than just friends with benefits or just friends, please just tell me so i can get over you.”
his mouth was slightly agape as he listened to you talk, shocked that you had all this built up inside. you guys were best friends and he truly thought he’d known everything about you. this was something he would’ve never guessed you’d be keeping from him. his lips twitched like he was gonna say something but the words never came. it was just awkward, tense silence.
you bit your lip to keep it from wobbling as tears of embarrassment clouded your sight. you took one last look at him, your glossy gaze locked on his unreadable one, before deciding to head back into the chateau to grab your things.
he quickly lurched forward and grabbed onto your wrist to keep you from moving any further. “please don’t go,” he said softly. he slid his hand down your arm and took your hand in his before doing the same with the other. “i didn’t know you felt like that, sweetheart.”
you averted your eyes from your interlocked hands up to his pretty blue ones that you’d fallen for over the years. “i’ve always thought you were too good for me. too nice, too smart, too pretty. thought i was always jus’ your best friend,” he said, titling his head slightly and staring right into you. “i really fucking like you too, cupcake. and saying i don’t want you would be a lie.”
a soft gasp left your lips at the confession. never in a million years did you ever think you’d hear those words come out of his mouth in real life. you could’ve swore that only happened in dreams.
what you especially didn’t expect was for him to grab your hips and pull you into him, kissing you full of passion, love, years of wanting. you sighed against his lips and wrapped your arms loosely around his neck before tilting your head a little more to deepen it as his tongue soothed over yours.
once the two of you needed to pull away for air with spit-slick and puffy lips, he was the first to speak. “you’re all mine now, right? my beautiful girl all to myself?” he asked, earning a nod and a hum of approval from you. “good. ‘nd i’m all yours, baby.”
you smiled and pulled him back into you for another kiss. only then did you hear whistling and hollering along with obnoxious claps that you could easily distinguish as your friends returning back from the boneyard.

Hey! So, I was totally stalking your account the other day (please don’t ask why, lmao), and I came across that one-shot you wrote for your last fandom. It got me thinking—could you write something like that, but with Donna?
I changed it a bit, but it’s still kinda the same. It’s about the reader having an identical twin who’s basically better than her at everything and way more popular. Like, people in the village are obsessed with her.
Somehow, Donna meets the reader, and they start getting closer, which is a big deal because, for the first time, the reader feels special—Donna, the powerful lord, likes **her** and not her sister!
Then, there’s this moment where Donna finally tries to ask the reader out, but she’s SO stressed that she doesn't even notice she’s talking to reader's twin instead! The reader overhears the whole thing, and when Donna realizes what’s happened, she goes into full-on damage control mode.
If this isn’t your thing or you think it sounds boring, PLEASE , just ignore this!
LOVE U xx
Yessss!!!! Thank you for... Stalking my account? I'm joking, thanks for your support, and for your request!!!! I hope you like it and sorry about the language mistakes!!!! :))))
Identical, but different
Pairing: Donna Beneviento x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Fluff, Donna being Donna
Word count: 7,925
Summary: You want to be more than just "her sister"
N/A: Sorry about the language mistakes!!! Requests are open!!! I'm waiting yours!!! I love you all!!!
Tumblr media
You never liked going out on errands, and you knew exactly why.
“Hey, Ivana! Ivana!” a voice called out a name that wasn’t yours, but you knew the words were directed at you.
Rolling your eyes, you turned around, seeing a young villager running up to you.
“Ivana, listen, I want to…” the boy said hurriedly, placing an unpleasant hand on your shoulder.
You pushed it away, growling in annoyance.
“I’m not Ivana,” you said, repeating the phrase that, every time you left your house, you were forced to repeat over and over again. “I’m (Y/N)”
“Oh, wow. Sorry,” the boy said, scratching the back of his neck nervously and embarrassedly. “Um, hey, could you give this to your sister?” he asked, handing you a piece of paper with horrible handwriting on it.
 A love letter, again?
“Why don't you give it to her?” you asked, taking the envelope in an unpleasant manner and putting it together with the ones that you had obtained on your walk through the village.
“Well... You are her sister...” he stammered, to which you made a face of displeasure and shook your head.
“Yes, I’m her sister, not her errand girl,” you said with a hiss, walking away from the boy.
“Don't forget to tell her that it’s form Marco!” he yelled, making you shrug and hiss a few curses.
Every day was another occasion for contempt to appear in front of you.
Being born in that dark village, under the tutelage of the Black Gods, Mother Miranda, the Lords... None of that could compare to the bad luck you had in your life. Bad luck with your family? Not exactly.
Your parents were hard workers, humble but normal parents after all. That wasn't the problem, just like living in that place wasn't the problem either. The problem was the whim of fate that hung over you at birth.
You could have been an only child, but you weren't. You had a sister, but not just any sister, completely different from you, no. Ivana was your twin sister. Physically you were identical.
But physical resemblance had nothing to do with personality. All the charisma, the ease of talking to people, of attracting attention, seemed to have been sucked out of your body and belonged only to Ivana.
She was popular, everyone in the village knew her, almost adored her (not like Mother Miranda, of course). There was no young villager who didn't notice her stupid smile, one that belonged to you, but that didn't have the same effect.
Always Ivana, always your sister was who stole all the limelight from you. You simply existed, but nothing else. You existed because you were her sister. People talked to you because they mistook you with her. It might seem like a desperate situation, and it was, but you had already gotten used to it.
Well, you weren't really excited about talking to people either. It didn't matter that your silence, your shyness and isolation were caused by a genetic error that made your sister steal all those abilities from you. You never really liked talking to people. You had other hobbies that were more peaceful than making a name for yourself in that sinister place.
Still, every day you left your house was a new torment, a new parade of refusals and corrections. Maybe one day you would play pretend to be Ivana, maybe that way you could get revenge on her. You just rambled. She stole even your courage.
“Hi,” you whispered when you got home, moving towards the kitchen where your mother was waiting for the shopping like every day. “Here you go, mother.”
“Thank you, (Y/N),” the woman said, giving you a tip much smaller than the one they gave your sister.
You didn't want to think about that. You still had hope that your own parents loved you equally.
“Hey, (Y/N),” your sister said, making you close your eyes slowly to give yourself patience. You didn't know exactly why she was that popular. You loved her, but you couldn't help but think that your sister was a bit… Unbearable. “How were the errands?”
“Very well, I love going out to freeze while you sit there,” you said ironically, passing by her. “Oh, now that I remember… Here, this is for you.”
With a sigh you took all the notes out of the pocket of your dress and threw them at her in an unpleasant way.
“Have you met Marco?” your sister asked, reading each of the letters with amusement.
“Yes, and he mistook me for you, just like all those idiots,” you commented, letting yourself fall into an armchair, taking your knife to continue with your greatest hobby, carving wooden figurines, something your grandfather taught you and that, along with reading, helped you to spend the time.
“Don't be jealous,” Ivana mocked, sitting on one arm of the sofa, getting on your nerves. “Look, he says I'm the prettiest girl in the village…”
“That's great. How many girls are there in the village?” you said with irony.
“Mm, it smells like envy,” she murmured, crumpling the letter and throwing it into the fireplace.
“Envy? Please, we are identical,” you said, shaking your head and looking at the fireplace. “Hey, why did you do that?”
“I'm not interested in that boy,” Ivana commented. “Are you with your figurines again?”
“You're not interested? Wasn't he your boyfriend?” you asked, preventing the girl from reaching your wooden work. “Leave me alone.”
“You said it... He was... I think I need to start aiming for a higher level,” she murmured, looking at her nails in a smug manner. “What about you?”
“What about me?”
“When are you going to leave your stupid wooden figurines and look for a handsome boy to hook up with?” Ivana asked, making you roll your eyes and snort tiredly.
“I'm not interested,” you whispered, polishing that wooden cat.
“You're weird, huh?” the twin mocked, getting up, making you stare at her.
“Am I weird for not wanting to break the hearts of half the village?” you asked, leaving the cat on a table and getting up in a bad mood.
“That's because you can't, you don't have my charms,” she said with a haughty tone, pointing at herself.
Your patience was at its limit.
“Whatever you say,” you murmured tiredly, glancing sideways at your mother, who seemed attentive to the conversation. “Should I help you, mother?”
“No, honey,” the woman said kindly.
“Are you running away from the conversation? That's because you know I'm right,” Ivana said, crossing her arms in satisfaction.
You had lost your patience at that point. After a whole morning of being mistaken, your mood was rather delicate. With a groan, you got up from the couch and walked towards the door.
“Hey, loser, where are you going?”
“Where you don’t care,” you said abruptly, bumping her with your shoulder as you passed and walking out the door. “Stupid…”
Going out for a walk around the area could be comforting, you always did it. Relaxing with your sister always present, walking through the village was impossible but… If you went further away, where there was no one, at least you could be calm.
Walking through the trees you cursed and mumbled about the bad luck you had to be born with someone, running your hand over the rocks, looking at the sky, where the cawing of the crows also seemed to want to make fun of you.
“Ivana is perfect, isn't she? To hell with her…” you whispered, shaking your head, walking aimlessly without paying attention. “Oh, Ivana, it's nice to see you, Ivana, I'll give you a discount for being you, Ivana… I can't believe it.”
When you got tired of walking in circles, you stopped in a small clearing that wasn’t familiar to you, siting at an old tree’s feet, along with some of those branches that fell due to the passage of time.
“Ivana is the best, the prettiest, the smartest,” you mocked with an amused expression, picking up a piece of branch and taking out your knife.
“Look at me: I'm stupid Ivana, the one who can't keep a boyfriend for more than one night, the best in the whole world… Damn it.”
Between grunts you began to carve a small wooden figure hoping that time would pass faster. After all, you would have to go home sooner or later.
“Are you Ivana? You're so pretty Ivana…” you continued to murmur, shaping that little figure that looked more and more like a deer. “I'm sick. Oh, Ivana, it's you, isn't it? Of course it's you, you're so beautiful… Oh, it's (Y/N), wow, what a disappointment… Always the same, damn it… I hate you … I'm not damn Ivana… Do I have to cut my hair so you can stop confusing each other? Stupid…”
“Oh, you're Ivana, aren't you?” a different voice said, one you hadn't noticed. It was a mocking voice that you identified with a treacherous subconscious, or a stupid villager.
Either option was irritating enough to make you get up from the tree and turn around furiously.
“Do I have to put a sign on my forehead? I'm not Ivana!” you shrieked with your eyes closed, squeezing the figurine in your hands.
“Wow, what a bad mood you have…” the same voice said.
You opened your eyes sighing, ready to tell another villager to go to hell, but when you did, your face paled.
It wasn't a villager. It wasn't even a human being. A sinister doll stood in front of you, laughing amusedly. You didn't need to think about who it could be, you knew perfectly well: the Angie doll, inseparable companion of one of the four Lords, Donna Beneviento.
The lady in black stood behind the doll with a cold and stoic pose while the puppet laughed amused by your carelessness.
You immediately lowered your head at the sight of the dark lady, your body shaking in terror.
“Lady Beneviento,” you murmured in fear, knowing you were completely defenseless. “I’m sorry, I…”
“What are you doing here?” the doll asked, causing you to look away from the lady and stare frightened at the puppet. “You’re in our territory, stupid.”
“R-Really? Oh, I…,” you said in fear, looking around.
You were definitely angry that day. You hadn’t even realized where your irrational anger had taken you.
“Don’t you know you can’t come here?” the doll insisted, pointing at you with her finger in amusement. “Ivana?”
“I-I'm not Ivana,” you said, ignoring the anger that came over you when she said that name. “I'm (Y/N), her sister…”
“Oh, her sister, I didn't know she had a sister,” Angie said with her hands on her hips. “Well, I actually knew, but I'd never seen you. Ha, I thought I was seeing double...”
“W-We're twins,” you said, still scared, looking up to see the lady, who seemed to be watching you in silence.
“Twins, how cool,” the doll said, getting a little closer to you, fixing her porcelain gaze on the small wooden deer. “What's this?” she asked, snatching the half-made figurine from you.
You made a timid gesture to take it back, but when you felt the lady's gaze on yours, you stopped.
“It's…. It's…” you stammered, controlling the incipient trembling of your legs. “It's a wooden deer.”
“Oh, a deer… Did you make it?” the curious puppet asked, pretending to play with the figurine.
You nodded nervously, clasping your hands in front of your body.
“I, I like to make wooden figurines, I, I carve them myself,” you explained in a small voice.
Angie looked at you and turned around, approaching her owner.
“Look, Donna, look, look,” she said excitedly, handing the lady the deer.
She picked it up slowly, making you notice her hands, which immediately caught your attention. After all, that black veil didn't allow you to see anything.
“Mm,” you thought you heard a murmur coming from the black fabric, but you were so scared that you didn't even pay attention while the doll maker calmly observed the figurine.
She was dangerous, very dangerous. She was a disturbed woman who had no mercy on anyone who came snooping around, someone like you.
“Hey, silly, are you looking for a job?” the doll asked, observing your work of art alongside the lady.
You froze when the lady in black extended her hand to kindly return the figurine to you. You had no answer to that question.
“Um…” you stammered, avoiding making contact with that hand that seemed so soft. “Job?”
“Uh-huh, my Donna is quite the doll artist,” Angie said, pointing at the lady in black, who moved her hand, returning it to the side of her waist. “Maybe your skills as a wood artist could be useful.”
“My skills?” you asked curiously, pointing at yourself. “Uh, actually this, this is a hobby. I'm not a carpenter or something like that.”
“That doesn't matter to us, you have talent, girl,” Angie said, walking around you like a carrion bird. “I assure you that my Donna values talent very much…”
“Oh, I…” you stammered again, scratching the back of your neck. “I-I don't know what to say…”
“Well, don't say anything, silly,” Angie laughed, being picked up from the ground by her owner, who began to walk away from you, passing by your side like a ghost, one that smelled of lavender… “Anyway, think about it, come to our mansion tomorrow so we can get to know each other better, okay?”
“I-I… W-Well, okay,” you said confused, nodding, while the lady turned her head to look at you for the last time, continuing her way towards the wooden bridge.
That encounter with a Lord was strange, but the strangest thing of all was being able to get out of that place alive. You had heard so many rumors about the lady in black that you didn't know if you could believe them.
You survived, and on top of that... You had a unique job opportunity. You, the scorned sister, had been chosen by Donna Beneviento herself.
You should feel special, but what you had was fear, fear of what could happen to you. The job offer was, however, tempting and on the way home, you could not stop thinking about it.
It wasn’t something you could keep quiet and, during the meal, you told your family what had happened.
“What do you mean?” your father asked after a few seconds of deathly silence. “You say that Beneviento wants you to work for her?”
“Yes, father,” you said, lowering your head, drinking a glass of water. “It seems that she needs help with her dolls.”
“Wait, are you telling me that a Lord has taken an interest in you?” your sister asked, her eyes wide. The trouble of going into the forest was worth just to see her face.
“Yes, it seems that my figurines are not a waste of time,” you said with a haughty tone, making your sister frown.
“(Y/N)…” your father sighed. “I hope you're not thinking of accepting that offer.”
You shrugged.
“I don't know, it could be a good job,” you whispered indecisively, picking up a piece of bread.
“A good job? That woman is insane, do you hear me? I won't let my daughter risk her life like that,” the man said, pointing at you sternly. “No.”
“But, father…” you protested with a sad look. “She didn't seem so… Insane to me…”
“Seriously, why you?” your sister added, envy oozing from every pore.
“No… No wa…” your father repeated, interrupted by your mother's hand.
“Vlad… Wait a moment,” the woman said in a cautious tone. “Maybe it's a good opportunity. That horrible woman is a Lord. She’s rich…”
“My daughter isn't worth all the money in the world, Ingrid,” your father said, crossing his arms.
You couldn't help but smile. At least for your family you were something else than Ivana's sister.
“Think about it Vlad, if (Y/N) works for Beneviento, we'll be protected in some way, besides, we have a lot of debts… It could be the miracle we're waiting for,” your mother commented, making the whole family look at you.
“Well… What do you say, (Y/N)?” the man asked, pointing at you with his fork. “Do you want to work for that crazy woman?”
Again, you shrugged, nodding slowly.
“I don’t think it’s a bad idea,” you whispered, eating calmly.
Your sister snorted, crossing her arms.
“I can’t believe it, you?” she protested with a nasty look.
“What’s wrong, Ivana?” you said with an evil smile. “Are you jealous?”
The next day, after enjoying your sister’s protests, you decided to accept, walking, this time with a sure course towards the lady’s mansion. Internally you meditated on your options.
Well, your parents needed money and… Your sister was jealous. There was no harm in trying your luck with that woman. Maybe she wasn't as horrible as everyone thought. You certainly didn't think so.
“Okay…” you muttered, entering through a red door that led to an elevator. Just getting there made you feel lucky. You wondered if you could go back.
When you finally reached the the mansion, your eyes widened in awe at the sight. A splendid waterfall rose to the side of the old house, one you had only seen in photographs.
“It's great,” you said with a smile, pleased by the beauty of the place, by feeling that, somehow, you weren't in danger.
But your face changed when you saw a figure walking towards the house, one that looked suspiciously like you.
“It can't be…” you muttered, walking faster and shaking your head. “Hey, you! What the hell are you doing here?” you asked annoyed, pulling your twin sister's arm.
 She smiled at you arrogantly.
“I see that punctuality is not your strong point, huh?” she mocked, breaking away from your grip and walking towards the entrance of the mansion. “I'm here looking for work, (Y/N)”
“What? You have to be kidding,” you said indignantly, pulling her arm again. “Go away, Ivana, this job is mine.”
“Oh, please…” the girl sighed, rolling her eyes. “Don't be naive, you're good for nothing.”
“Well, it turns out that Lady Beneviento needs my talent for wood carving, one you don't have,” you said mockingly, climbing the stairs with your twin, who laughed ironically.
“Don't talk nonsense, you're useless, (Y/N), I can do many more things,” she said satisfied, putting on her dress before knocking on the door, something you prevented by grabbing her wrist.
“What things? Are you planning to seduce this woman too?” you asked unpleasantly.
“Please, I'm not into women, that would be you,” Ivana said sarcastically, releasing herself from your hand and bringing her fist closer to the door again.
“You're unbearable,” you growled, kicking the ground, furious. “This job is mine, Beneviento wanted me, not you. Can't you let me be the protagonist for once?”
“You? Protagonist? Don't make me laugh,” your sister mocked, crossing her arms.
“I really want to pull your hair...” you threatened, approaching her with a dark look.
“You are so vulgar, and you want to work for a Lord?”
“I'm going to…” you growled, reaching out your arms towards your sister, who struggled with you until, with an ominous creak, the door opened.
“Well, well, well…” Angie the doll hummed, in the arms of the lady in black.
Comically, the two sisters separated, adopting a formal and respectful pose.
“Look Donna, has anyone ordered a two for one?” the doll mocked, laughing amusedly while pointing at you effusively.
“Lady Beneviento,” you and Ivana said at the same time, with a frown.
“Am I seeing double?” the puppet mocked again, shaking her head.
“Lady Beneviento,” your sister said, taking a step forward and extending her hand towards the lady, who lowered her gaze but didn’t return the greeting. “Um, I have come looking for work.”
“You?” the doll asked, with a suspicious tone. “(Y/N)?”
“No, no, (Y/N) is this one,” Ivana said mockingly, pointing at you while you kept your head down. “I’m her sister and it is wrong for me to say it, but… I’m better than her for this job.”
“Shut up,” you hissed in an angry whisper, glancing sideways at the lady in black. Unfortunately, you couldn't know where that mysterious woman was looking.
“Oh…” the doll murmured. “Do you also carve wood?”
“No, my lady, but I… Well, I have other talents,” your unbearable sister said.
The lady sighed loudly, but made a gesture for both of you to enter the house.
As expected, your sister's charisma made her not want to keep quiet, making kind comments about everything in the mansion, she even had the audacity to comment on the beauty of the portrait hanging on the wall of the stairs, one that you also noticed, but you didn't say anything.
The two of you sat on a sofa following the vague and silent instructions of the lady in black, who did the same on an armchair located in front of you.
“I think that color suits the house well, and it has a beautiful floor and…” Ivana said tirelessly while you simply lowered your head, occasionally looking at the stoic lady, who, you couldn't be sure, but you thought was looking at you.
“Hey, shut up,” Angie protested, making your sister close her mouth immediately with a cocky smile. “Let's see… You are Ivana, right?”
“Yes, my lady,” your sister said, blinking petulantly.
“And you (Y/N),” Angie repeated, pointing at you.
Your response was an elegant nod.
“Well, I already know what (Y/N) knows how to do, but you… I've heard a lot of things about you in the village,” Angie said, speaking in a slightly strange way, as if she wasn't really the doll.
The woman didn't speak, she just looked at you.
“It's an honor, my lady,” Ivana said, bowing ridiculously. “Yes, I'm quite well-known in the village.”
“Uh-huh, okay, why do you want to work for us?” the puppet asked.
“It would be an honor for me to serve you, my lady,” Ivana said, making you look at her with a disgusted face.
“What can you do?” Angie asked again, without looking at you, the complete opposite of her owner, or so you thought.
“Well, among my many talents… I know how to cook…” the girl began petulantly, placing herself in an informal posture.
You didn't move, you simply maintained that mysterious look.
“My Donna also cooks, what else?” Angie said, her tone seeming impatient. “We don't need cooks.”
“I'm very good at washing clothes,” your twin continued.
“That's good, hey, haven't you heard of washing machines? You should try them,” Angie mocked, making you unable to contain a smile.
“I-I can also… I can…” your sister stammered, revealing with her voice that she was starting to get nervous. “I'm very good at conversation.”
“Oh, did you hear that, Donna? She likes to talk,” Angie said, looking at the lady who did the same with a serene pose. “What do you say, Donna? Oh, of course, you don't like to talk…”
“Um, um… I can, I can be your maid, my lady, I'll do anything you ask me to,”
Was that a desperate request? Your discreet smile widened.
“We don't need a maid, silly, why don't you try the castle? Surely there you are useful,” the doll said.
You suppressed an amused laugh, glancing sideways at your trembling sister.
“Get out of my house,” a hoarse, unknown voice said, one that came out from the black veil, which had a soft and melodic accent. It was Donna, you were sure.
You, thinking she was talking to you, lowered your head with sadness in your gaze, getting up from the sofa.
“Yes, get out, you're bothering me,” your sister emphasized with a satisfied smile.
“No, not you, (Y/N),” the hoarse voice spoke again.
You stopped with a cautious look.
“You stupid fool!” Angie shrieked, pointing at your sister. “Didn't you hear my Donna? We don't need a fool like you, you're useless.”
“What?” Ivana asked with a frown.
“Go away, go away, come on, out, out,” the doll insisted, gesturing with her hands while your sister, scared, looking at you with fiery eyes, ran towards the exit.
“Sit down,” the dark voice spoke again and the hand of the lady in black moved towards the sofa.
You, amused watching your sister leave the mansion, obeyed, calmer. A moment of silence tensed the atmosphere. There was no one else the lady could be looking at, there was only you.
“Your sister can't be quiet, right?” the lady asked, with that very special voice, with an almost inaudible whisper.
You smiled kindly, shaking your head.
“Yes, she's an idi... I mean, she's, she's... Like that,” you said, swallowing the insult. She was a Lord, after all.
“She's an idiot, you can say it,” Angie said, amused, getting off her owner's lap and sitting on the couch next to you. “We don't like idiots...” she whispered in your ear.
You smiled again, lowering your head when you felt those invisible eyes looking at you again.
“Do I scare you, (Y/N)?” the lady asked, making you briefly look up and shake your head, lying shamelessly.
“No,” you said with a sleepy, broken voice, playing with your hands and wishing to carve wood to release the stress. The Lord tilted her head slowly, searching for the truth with that simple gesture. “Well, a, a bit... I've never been that close to... One of you.”
“So, what do you think? Is it as horrible as you expected?” Beneviento asked again, running a hand over her knee, as if she were nervous too, which was impossible, of course.
“Not really,” you said in a sincere tone, smiling at the ridiculousness of your perfect sister. “You’re the… First one who doesn’t… Who doesn’t think my sister is… Well, great.”
“She’s not great,” she said in a sharp voice. “You have a talent I need. She’s just a stupida…”
“Oh, well, I…” you said, scratching your head, blushing at the compliment, which was unusual if it wasn’t accompanied by: Oh, you’re Ivana, aren’t you? “It’s, it’s a hobby.”
“A hobby that I find very useful,” she murmured, gesturing to Angie and getting up from the sofa with a tired sigh. “Come.”
You stood nervously on the couch, your legs deciding they didn't want to move. You were terribly nervous. No one had ever paid you so much attention, much less... Someone like her.
“Didn't you hear me, girl?” Donna asked impatiently, turning around to look at you, making her veil dance hypnotically. “Come here.”
“Y-Yes, sorry,” you said hastily, getting up and walking next to her, again, in silence, a terrifying one.
After going down an elevator, you walked through a dark basement that gave you chills, until you reached what looked like an old workshop, surely the place where those porcelain dolls were created.
All the children in the village had one, and you were no exception, although your sister's was much more detailed, as always.
“I suppose you're wondering what I want you to do for me,” the lady in black murmured, walking towards a table, where there was an old sewing machine. You nodded with a formal pose.
“Yes, my lady,” you said in a dry, respectful tone, as much as you could.
“Do you see these dolls?” she asked, pointing at the objects, impatiently indicating for you to come a little closer. “Don't just stand there, come closer, girl.”
You walked slowly, taking the porcelain doll the lady offered you and examining it carefully.
“I've known how to make these dolls since I was much younger than you,” the lady began explaining while you played with the doll's clothes. “It's easy for me.”
“I-I see, my lady, it's a magnificent job,” you said with your best smile, giving the doll back to her.
“Save the compliments. If I wanted someone to flatter me, I would call your sister,” she said in a cold tone, leaving the doll in its place.
You swallowed and nodded, regretting your words.
“The thing is simple, (Y/N)… Wood was never my strong point,” the lady whispered, gesturing towards the restless Angie, who climbed into her arms, as if she had hypnotized the doll. “Look at those joints, the details of the fingers…”
You obeyed, craning your head to look at those hands… And also at the wooden fingers.
“It's very well done,” you said, touching the puppet unsteadily, moving its fingers.
“Don't touch it too much, or she will bite you,” the lady said in a dark tone, which made you move your hand away immediately, making something like a nervous laugh come out from behind the veil. “Sorry, it's a joke. Angie won't do anything to you.”
“Oh, okay…” you sighed, playing with your hands.
“Angie was created by my father, and he was good at wood, a talent that, unfortunately, I didn't inherit,” the lady continued, giving life to Angie again and lowering her to the ground. “I would like to recover that part I lost, to make these moving dolls again, and for that, I need you.”
“I understand,” you said pleasantly, nodding.
“Will you be able to help me, or am I wasting my time, (Y/N)?” she asked, crossing her arms in a challenging pose.
“I will do what I can, my lady,” you said elegantly, smiling, knowing that you had gotten the job, one that your sister was not able to achieve, one in which, at last, you would surpass her.
“My lady…” she whispered, with a nervous laugh, indicating for you to sit on a nearby chair. “Don't call me that, you remind me of your sister…”
“Oh, okay,” you said laughing shyly, taking a piece of wood that she handed you. “Lady Beneviento?”
“Donna, it's much shorter,” she said, sighing and sitting next to you. You nodded nervously. “Well, it's not that I doubt you, girl, but I'd like to see what you're capable of. I want a right arm, more or less like Angie's, can you do it?”
And so, by a terrible coincidence, a new part of your life began. A much better one, one in which, finally, you didn't feel inhibited by your sister's abilities.
You had a job. You worked for a Lord, an achievement only reserved for the privileged or well, for any young girl who dared to approach the castle, and who didn't plan on getting married.
The days passed quickly in the old mansion. Silence always accompanied you as you manipulated that wood, always next to the lady in black.
Yes, she could be many things, she could be a sick and dangerous woman, but she didn't show it with you. She wasn't very talkative, quite the opposite of her doll, but she was kind in her own way, grateful for your formality, for every thing you did well, and understanding if you made a mistake.
You certainly felt better than ever. Finally there was someone who preferred you over your sister, something you never thought could happen. The days, weeks, months passed and those little conversations with the doll maker increased little by little, as did your smiles.
Donna was a fascinating, mysterious woman, but completely different from the other Lords. Surely that was what caught your attention, yes, yes, it wasn't at all her sweetness, her melodic and seductive accent, or the beauty of her hands…
Maybe you were a bit confused, maybe that attraction (yes, attraction) you were starting to feel for the lady in black was simply a thank you from your heart for feeling important, for feeling that, for once, your sister wasn’t the protagonist.
“Good job, (Y/N),” Donna whispered, running her slender fingers through the wooden ones you had just polished while you looked at her satisfied. “I can give this little hand a manicure, don't you think?”
“Yes, thank you, Donna,” you said with a smile, sighing at the work that wooden arm took you.
She nodded, making you understand she had heard you and, surprisingly, she brought her hand to the black veil that covered her face, removing it elegantly.
You looked away at first, but you couldn't help but glance at her face out of the corner of your eye, getting very nervous. Donna was, just as you feared, a beautiful woman. You didn't even pay much attention to the scar, which was probably the reason for wanting to hide her face.
Your mouth opened slightly and your gaze became bolder, going straight to the lady, who was searching through an old glass for a suitable brush to paint your creation.
“Che stai guardando?” she asked without looking at you, knowing that you had become petrified, and why.
“Oh, no-nothing,” you said nervously, returning to the table to play with the leftover pieces of wood.
The lady frowned, glancing at you out of the corner of her eye, putting the brush back in its place.
“Did you understand me?” she asked curiously, turning to look at you, to confirm the beauty you had noticed. “Do you know Italian?”
“Um, yes, no, um, I don't know,” you stammered, turning abruptly to look at the table again. “It's just that... I, I've read a lot of books...”
“Do you like to read?” she asked, taking the brush and smearing it with paint.
“Um, yeah,” you said quietly, playing with a piece of wood, carving it to calm your nerves.
“Mm,” she murmured, concentrating on the arm, not caring too much about you had seen her face. She didn’t really have to. One bad word and you would end up at the bottom of the waterfall. “Your sister likes to read too?”
“My sister?” you asked with a mocking smile. “I doubt she even knows what a book is,” you said, forgetting about the beauty next to you.
Donna laughed softly, but kept her face serious.
“Excuse me for asking, but… Why do you hate your sister?” she asked in a soft voice, curious but distracted at the same time.
“I don't hate her,” you said sighing, shaking your head. “She's my sister and I love her, but it's just that… Ugh, she was always the most… Popular… Everyone approaches her, sucks up to her, wants to flirt with her… It seems like I’m nothing but her shadow.”
“There's no one who doesn't know her,” the lady commented, painting in a disinterested way. “But I don't understand why. She's stupid.”
“Yeah, well…” you said amused, rolling your eyes. “But even if she's stupid, I don't know how she does it, but she has a natural talent for people, she has a lot of charisma, and joy and... Well, everything I lack... She's like a double... Or rather, I'm her sinister double...”
“Mm, so you think that being popular makes you a better person,” she commented distractedly, making you reflect.
“Yes, no, I don't know,” you said, nodding and suddenly shaking your head, not sure of your answer.
“Do you think she's better because people want to flirt with her?” Donna asked again, making you blush.
“W-Well, that doesn't matter too much to me, we don't have the same interests,” you said with a shy voice, not wanting to reveal an important fact about yourself, one that you didn't know how Lady Beneviento would take it.
“Mm, that's obvious,” she murmured without looking at you, making you startle.
“Why do you say so?”
“You're not scared of my face,” she said in a darker voice, controlling an incipient tremor in her hands.
“The-there's nothing to be scared of,” you said, nervous, uncomfortable.
The lady stopped painting, smiling strangely.
“Surely your sister would run away terrified,” she murmured, sighing sadly, something that caught your attention.
“No way,” you said amused with a gesture of your hand. “No matter what she thought, she would surely try to seduce you to take some of your fortune. She always does the same with everyone.”
“Seduce me?” the lady asked amused, letting the wooden arm go and turning to look at you.
“Yes, I think so,” you said, looking away. “She would do anything to gain fame...”
“Even seduce a monster like me,” she said in a different tone, pressing her lips together.
A bad choice of words.
“I didn't mean that,” you said regretfully. “I, I just, I mean that, seducing you is not what... Well, I think that... Well, anyone with eyes in their face could see how beautiful you are and... Well, I... Well... I-I better shut up...” you said nervously, red as blood, looking at the old clock, wishing it was time to leave.
“Do you want to seduce me, (Y/N)?” she asked, in a whispery tone, looking at you with a frown.
Your heart couldn't take it anymore.
“Oh, I... I'm not like my sister,” you said avoiding that poisoned dart, avoiding saying what you really thought.
“That's why I like you,” the lady whispered, bringing a soft hand surprisingly to your face, caressing it gently, almost automatically.
Your breathing quickened and your eyes danced nervously, locked on hers, on that bright and beautiful eye as her skin made contact with yours, a sensation you didn't know felt so good (although you shamefully fantasized about it)
“Y-You-You like me…” you stammered, bringing your hand to hers, leaning in the same way as her until the lady, clearing her throat, withdrew, surely embarrassed.
“Yes, um, um… I think, I think you've done enough for today. You can leave,” Donna said, shaking her head and frowning more intensely, gesturing with her hand.
“Okay,” you sighed with an exaggeratedly sad tone.
Nothing was the same after that strange conversation.
You finally admitted that you feel something for the lady in black, that it wasn't the simple illusion of being valued more than your sister. It was something different, a kind of tension, of tense and uncomfortable moments that became routine.
The smiles, the casual contact of your hands with hers became something more and more frequent. You couldn't be more in love, but neither of you ever mentioned it.
There was never any talk of those subtle caresses or those glances. You didn't dare to say what you thought, and neither did she. It was better this way after all, you could be misinterpreting things.
“That's it... Slowly...” the lady said, on one of those days when you weren't working with wood, but you were learning to sew instead, thanks to her advice. The smile was always in the lady's eye, and on your cheeks, the red color settled as definitive.
“Like this?” you asked, showing her the piece of fabric. She nodded amused, without stopping to look at you. “Good, now I know how to sew.”
“Yes,” she said, with a wider smile. “It's not complicated, (Y/N), it's a matter of practice.”
“I see…” you sighed, going over those clumsy seams.
Silence returned to the old workshop.
“(Y/N)… I, I've been thinking,” Donna murmured, moving away from that comfortable proximity, playing with her hands while you continued sewing. “Maybe it seems hasty but… I have, I have to tell you something.”
You looked at her with wide eyes as she grabbed one of your hands. She was sweating, shaking visibly. She seemed terribly nervous.
“Okay…” you sighed, dazzled by her soft caresses.
“I…”
“Hey, you two!” Angie's shrieks interrupted that tense moment, that moment you had been waiting for so long.
“Angie, this is not a right time,” the lady growled, having seen her attempt frustrated.
“What were you doing?” the doll asked in a mocking tone, dragging out her words. “Well, whatever, there's a knock at the door, Donna.”
“I'm not expecting anyone,” she said, frowning again. “Who is it?”
“What do I know?” the doll answered, shrugging.
“Cazzo… Dov’è il mio velo…?” the lady murmured nervously, searching for something on the table.
You put a hand on her shoulder and stood up with a smile.
“I'm coming, don't worry,” you said in a kind voice, making her nod with a weak smile.
“Thank you”
When you got to the door, your smile instantly vanished.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, crossing your arms when you saw your clone, your sister, dressed the same way as you with an almost furious look.
“It turns out that thanks to you I have become the new errand girl,” Ivana said with a cocky tone.
You raised your eyebrows, with a triumphant smile.
“It's a pain, huh?” you mocked. “I've been like that for years.”
“Yes, whatever you say…” your sister said, making an unpleasant gesture with her hand. “Mother gave me this for you.”
“Oh, cookies…” you said with a tender smile.
“Yes, she says she wants Lady Beneviento to try them,” Ivana commented, looking at her nails with disinterest.
“Okay, thanks,” you said, entering the house and closing the door, something you couldn't do, since your sister prevented it.
“Hey, you ungrateful witch, don't you know how much it cost me to get here?” she rebuked you, with a finger on your chest.
“What do I care?”
“You could give me a glass of water, at least,” Ivana protested, lowering her gaze.
“Ugh, fine,” you said sighing and shaking your head. “Stay there and, don't, touch, anything.”
“Whatever you say,” the young woman said, crossing her arms as you went up the stairs.
Grumbling and mumbling you went up to the bathroom on the top floor. You would go down to the kitchen for no reason. Your sister would do nothing but snoop around.
“Oh, there you are,” a familiar voice caught your attention, along with the unmistakable sound of heels.
You leaned over the railing, watching as the lady in black dangerously approached your sister, her face covered.
“Mm?” your twin murmured, blinking in disbelief when the brunette uncovered her face again. She seemed very, very nervous.
You wanted to intervene, but you didn't, you stayed glued to the railing with the glass in your hand, shaking more and more.
“Who was it?” Donna asked, getting a little closer to Ivana. “W-Well, it, it doesn't matter…”
“Um, I…” your twin stammered, surely surprised to see her face.
“W-Wait, let, let me tell you something…” the lady interrupted, moving her hand to reach your sister's, joining it with hers, interlacing their fingers. Ivana didn't move; she remained open-mouthed.
“Um, um…”
“I know it's crazy and I know your answer will probably break my heart, but I can't keep quiet about what I feel, (Y/N),” Donna whispered, making a great effort to speak.
You fidgeted nervously on the railing, a smile appearing on your face, a smile that hid the evidence of what was happening downstairs.
“I… I've, I've been alone all my life until… Until you showed up and… With you I feel, I feel like I wouldn't want to be alone again…” the lady continued, squeezing your sister's hand tighter. “I-I'm, I'm in love with you.”
Your jaw dropped at the same time as your sister's. You couldn't believe it, it was the happiest day of your life, was it?
“Y-You don't have to answer me now, but, but I would like, I would like...” the lady said, still nervous at the lack of response from the stunned Ivana. “I would like you to help me discover what love is... Together, next to you... What...? What do you say?” she whispered, caressing your sister's hair, her face pale from those words.
She gently pulled her, lightly placing her lips on your twin's, kissing her slowly.
That was too much for you.
Your hand became weak, dropping the glass on the floor, breaking it into a thousand pieces with an unpleasant sound that attracted the attention of the two women.
“Donna!” you shouted, rushing down the stairs. “Donna, wait, that's not...”
“W-W-What?” the lady stammered, blinking in confusion and letting your sister's waist go.
“Hey, I'm not (Y/N)…” Ivana said amused. “But if you share you money with me I'll be whoever you want…”
“What? You? You?” Donna said nervously, running a hand through her hair and breathing heavily, pointing at one of you each time. “You, you're not… You…”
“Donna, she's my sister,” you said, arriving at the hall in a hurry and pushing your twin away. “Are you an idiot? What are you up to?”
“Hey, hey, I didn't do anything,” Ivana protested amused and nervous. “It was her… Boy, (Y/N) you were so quiet about that.”
You growled, looking at the lady in black, who had a lost look on her face while her body suffered nervous spasms.
“You're…. You're… (Y/N)…” Donna stammered, unable to control her anxiety. “You… You're, you're…”
“Did I miss something?” your sister asked, frowning.
“Oh, you stupid moron…” you muttered, putting your hands on the brunette's shoulders.
Donna was unable to look at you.
“No… No!” she shrieked furiously, pushing you away as she ran off, kicking all the furniture in her path.
“Hey, wait!” you shrieked, chasing her.
“Sis, you're such a flirter,” Ivana mocked, laughing amused. “Who would have thought that a Lord was so stupid as to be interested in you?”
“Shut up,” you hissed as you held the brunette, who struggled against your grip, sobbing. “Donna…”
The lady apparently calmed down, looking at your sister with a furious eye and pushing you away again, walking hurriedly towards her.
“Hey, hey, hey, I didn't mean…” your sister said, running away from the doll maker, who was chasing her furiously. “Hey, I'm sorry…”
A dull thud silenced your twin's complaints. Angie, who had slipped among you, hit your sister with a piece of wood, leaving her unconscious.
“Right in the head,” the doll said, laughing sinisterly.
“Stronza…” Donna growled, approaching you twin’s unconscious body. “How dare you to fool me!?”
“Hey, Donna, wait, wait, leave her alone,” you said, grabbing her shoulders again. “It's not her fault, wait, please…”
“(Y/N)…” the lady sighed, changing from anger to sadness. “What have I done?”
“Eh, eh, it's okay…” you said, glancing at your sister. Of course, she was still alive. “You got confused, it's normal.”
“I, I made a fool of myself… (Y/N)…” she sobbed, throwing herself into the shelter of your arms as she lowered herself to the floor, burying her head in your chest. “I'm sorry!”
“Shhh, Donna…” you said in a comforting whisper, caressing her hair, kneeling. “I've heard everything…”
“I'm sorry…” she sobbed again, clinging to your dress. “You don't know how much I…”
Her apologies were silenced by a kiss, one from your lips, a bold, brave one, the first of your life, but not the last. It was a sudden and disastrous kiss, but it served to silence the sobs of the lady in black, who slowly pushed you away, calmer.
“Those things you said...” you murmured smiling, wiping away the tears of the brunette. “Do you really have feelings for me?”
“Yes,” she sighed. “Yes, (Y/N), I... I, I love you...”
“You know what? I've been wanting to hear you say it for so long, that I don't care that you said it to my sister,” you joked softly, cradling the sobbing lady in your arms.
“Cazzo...” she lamented again, burying her head further into her chest.
“I'm going to take my sister home and... When, when I get back I want us to... Well, talk about this... Maybe over dinner?”

Kinda dark!Neil gets jealous and very possessive over his best friend (reader) when she's dating someone. They end up arguing, he calls her something bad, she slaps him and he kisses her, eventually confessing his feelings.
I got so many requests for various versions of dark neil like yall are FERAL for him and honestly? yeah. mood.
warnings: dark (obviously), manipulation, basically neil is just an asshole lmao
Tumblr media
"I just think you can do better," he shrugged, glancing away from you. And even though you'd probably heard it a thousand times, for some reason that one was the last straw.
"I wish you'd just say it, Neil," you spat at him, getting his attention again with a raised eyebrow. "I wish you'd just say what you're obviously getting at."
"What?" he denied, scoffing.
"You know, Craig thinks that you're--"
"Oh, fucking Craig," he rolled his eyes, "god forbid we forget for one second what Craig think-- cause Craig is sooo smart, right?"
"Shut up," you frowned. "You know, if you were really my friend, you'd just be supportive."
"If I was really your friend?" Neil repeated. "What's that mean? What am I if not your friend?"
"I-I-- well--" you stammered, trying again to say it but losing your nerve.
Neil scoffed, crossing his arms as he gave you this nasty, smug kind of smile. "You tell me to just say it, but you can't even say it yourself," he noticed. "You're not that tough, you know."
You pouted a little, looking down at the floor.
"I am your friend," he promised, "but I don't wanna be."
You nervously looked up at him, not sure what that meant, and found him stepping closer.
"I'm guessing Craig told you that-- he's an idiot, but I guess he's not completely oblivious..." Neil sighed, stepping closer to you again-- making you start to step back a little. "I don't wanna just be your friend. There, I said it."
"Wh-what do you want?" you asked, even though the answer was pretty obvious now-- you were still hoping he might give a different answer.
"I want you," he said, and your heart jumped as he stepped closer. "I always wanted you."
"N-Neil, you don't mean that," you breathed.
"I've never meant anything like I mean that," he assured. "And you can lie to yourself or to fucking Craig all you want-- but I know you want me, too."
"God, I defended you," you remembered with wide eyes, "Craig said you were just trying to get into my pants, and I defended you. I can't believe he was right..."
"Did you really not know?" Neil laughed a little. "Sometimes I thought it was obvious."
"No, I didn't know! I trusted you!" you yelped.
"Well, Jesus-- you make it sound like I did something awful," he laughed thinly, "it's not a crime to fall for your best friend."
"But all this time, and you never told me," you sighed, "were you just... waiting? Thinking I'd eventually fall into bed with you?"
"I mean..." Neil stalled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck, and you groaned as you rolled your eyes.
"God, you're such a creep!"
He frowned, glaring at you a bit. "Listen, I'm sorry you're so goddamn disappointed, but you don't have to be such a bitch--"
Instantly you put your hand up-- it was pure instinct at that point-- but before you could hit him across the face, he grabbed your wrist and clicked his tongue at you disapprovingly.
"Don't do that," he warned you. "Don't be like that."
"Neil, let go," you whimpered, trying to tug your hand away, but he just grabbed your hip and pulled you into him. His eyes met yours before trailing down to your lips, his own sighing for a moment.
"I wanted you so bad," he said again, softer, "for so long. Enough to drive a guy crazy, you know-- being around you all the time and never having you."
"Neil, please," you whispered back, eyes welling with tears. "Just let me go, please."
"Not until you admit that you wanted this, too," he replied, and you shook your head as you bit your shaking lip.
He frowned again, finally letting go of your wrist and holding your cheek instead.
"We're so much better for each other," he insisted, "I'll take such good care of you, angel. Why won't you just let me do that, huh?"
Instead of giving you time to respond, he suddenly pressed his lips to yours; he held your head when you tried to pull back, forcing you to stay close against him as he hummed quietly against you. You tried to push harder on his shoulders, but he only tilted his head and deepened the kiss, slipping his tongue into the opening created by your gasp of protest.
He seemed to think if he just forced it on you long enough, you'd succumb to it, and he got frustrated when he didn't work. He slipped his hand around your neck, tightening it just enough to threaten you with something worse. "Kiss me," he ordered you under his breath, and you felt like you had to at this point for your safety. Struggling to put any real passion into it as your heart raced with fear, you shut your eyes and finally kissed him back; he moaned a little, you even felt him smile and hold you tighter.
You broke away enough to speak again. "We can't-- Neil, this isn't okay," you stammered out.
"It's fine," he promised dismissively as he leaned in again, "I won't tell him."
"N-no, fuck, I don't mean--" you groaned, but you were interrupted when Neil pressed his hips to yours and you felt the bulge in his jeans. "F-fuck, Neil--"
"See what you do to me?" he grinned. "Sorry, I just can't help it-- I swear I'm hard half the time that I'm with you, you're just so cute."
"Are you fucking serious?" you sneered at him.
"You're even cuter when you're angry with me," he laughed, easily pushing your hand away when you tried to hit him again. "C'mon, don't fight me, angel-- please don't fight me."
You were about to ask what the fuck else you were supposed to do when he was acting like this, but you were interrupted as he shoved you down onto the couch, climbing on top of you. "What the fuck are you--?!"
"Shh," he offered, kissing your neck as he started to reach up under your shirt. "Shh, hey, it's gonna be good, okay? You're gonna realize how good we are together."
"Neil, I swear, if you don't get the fuck off of me," you began, gasping as he pinned you down by your wrists.
"Please, baby," he sighed, "I just need you so bad. Okay? I need you so fucking bad I can't stand it-- you're so funny, and sweet, and sexy, and honestly I don't even deserve you, but let me try, you know?"
He really seemed to think this was some grand romantic gesture, and not the most terrifying thing you'd ever seen so up close.
"I'll give you anything you want," he promised, "I'll do anything you want--"
"Get off me."
"Other than that," he added with a little laugh. "I need to show you how much you mean to me... so please don't put up too much of a fight, okay? Because I really don't want to hurt you."
He leaned down and kissed your lips again, softer and sweeter, before kissing your cheek instead and then whispering beside your ear.
"But I will if I have to."

“hi, im abby, ill be your server today, can i get you started with some drinks?”
you looked from your friend as your server arrived, seeing a tall blonde girl you’d yet to see here.
“hi, you’re new.” you smiled sweetly before answering. “ill just take a water,” she nodded before looking to ellie. she ordered a coke and abby left with a nod. “shes cute.”
“not my type.” you rolled your eyes at her, leaning back into the booth. “i know, im not stupid, you meant for you.”
you looked over to see if she was near, findinf her not to be, before turning back to ellie. “where do you think shes been hiding all this time, i’ve literally never seen her here before?”
“a water and a coke.” the drinks were placed on your table along with two straws. “are you ready, or would you like some time to look over the menu.”
you shook your head as you unwrapped your straw. “no, we’re all good.” you and ellie both ordered, but before abby left you stopped her. “wait, where are you from? you new?”
she nodded, stepping into a more comfortable position infront of your table. “yea, actually, just moved last week. im from jackson, small town about an hour from here.” you hummed.
“interesting, so you’re here for college then?” ellie kicked you and you scoffed, shaking your head at her. “just trying to get to know the pretty lady a bit, chill.” abby blushed and you smiled. “so, college?”
“yea, closest college, didnt wanna go too far from home.”

a/n: *gasp* a fanfic in 2024?? and it's not batman rogues?? Well..atleast it's...somewhat kinda sorta was DC comics?? I really wanna make this blog more..multi-verse based. So here's my shot at a "The Wolf Among Us" one-shot with Bigby Wolf and a female reader. This was a combination of re-reading the comics and watching way too many Tex Avery cartoons rip and despite all the other stuff I wanna work on I just had to get this story written and out there lmao who doesn't love the typical club singer openly flirting with the main character?? It's a classic right?
Content Warning: slightly suggestive heavy touching and flirting, but nothing explicit.
Word Count: 1.1 k

Bigby Wolf x F!Reader - Zeroing In
You push back the curtain just enough to see a tiny slit into the crowd beyond the stage.
You tried to focus your vision to pierce through the smoky haze that filtered the room and the figures in the audience.
You kept your eyes peeled for a certain gentleman in particular…
You've been trying to get Bigby Wolf to come to your shows for a while, but he declined. Always too busy or preoccupied somehow but he always mentioned “maybe some other time.”
You only managed to reel him in tonight because you mentioned how a possible suspect of his often frequented the club you performed at.
Knowing his persistence for answers, he couldn't deny the invitation…
And maybe…just maybe you could entice him to keep coming back for you.
You inhaled softly when you finally managed to make out his rich brown slicked back locks and warm brown eyes.
Some muffled giggles left your lips as you saw him look around with a look of indifference but also on alert for who could possibly be the suspect you informed him about.
“All right, you almost ready, girlie? You gotta full house tonight, looks like even the sheriff swung by…dunno what the hell he wants but I’ma need you to put the customers at ease…lighten them up the best way you know how ‘k gorgeous?”
“Yes ma'am!” You replied over your shoulder.
“Who are ya lookin’ out for anyway?” Your boss, Carol asked, her head tilted in a curious angle.
You giggled fondly to yourself as you stole one last glance at Bigby before you had to put on a straight sultry face.
“A lady has her secrets…” You teased as you backed away from behind the curtain and straightened out your dress.
Carol shook her head with a smile. “Eh, sure keep your secrets, girlie.”
You winked at your boss before taking your position in front of the curtain.
As the curtain slowly pulled back, you began your sexy saunter across the stage in time to the smooth jazz number that started playing.
Cheers, whistles, and soft applauds welcomed you as patrons took delight in the bits of skin your dress revealed as you began singing your seductive tune.
You tried not to immediately lock eyes with Bigby, even as tiny shocks of excitement coursed through you from feeling his eyes on you.
Mid-way into your song, you began to slowly make your way down the stage and into the audience.
You began teasing some of the audience members as you strutted around the floor. You'd let your hand glide across one man's shoulders, another you'd pat his cheek.
You couldn't help but notice Bigby shifting in his seat out of the corner of your eye.
You giggled inwardly, you weren't about to leave him out.
As you slowly approached the sheriff, you couldn't deny the stretch at the corners of your lips, slightly breaking your seductive aura to show genuine delight.
You quickly recompose yourself however, as you began softly singing the bridge of the song.
As the band played an instrumental portion, you wrapped your arm around Bigby's neck while your other arm brought your hand to cup the side of his face.
His eyebrows raised slightly as his eyes try not to look into yours.
You could feel him gasp under his breath as you graciously and freely sat side-saddle in his lap. Your proud smirk didn’t fade as he glanced at you with a surprised, hesitant expression.
You wished he would naturally react to the mood and wrap his arms around you, but he seems to have his hands deadlocked to the arms of his chair.
You almost jump out of your skin when he harshly whispers into your ear, his hot breath fanned your exposed shoulder.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“My job…like you.” You whispered softly back.
Bigby huffed, before grumbling, “Where is he?”
You comb back a bit of his hair as you slide off his lap. “I’ll show you…”
In an attempt to not be super obvious, you engage with other patrons before getting to the suspect.
When you finally got to the suspect, you teasingly caressed the underside of his chin with your index finger, before you made sure to make eye contact with Bigby.
He nodded as he looked down at the man who had such a lovestruck look on his face he didn’t even notice the sheriff taking inventory of him.
You head back to center stage and finish your performance with a glamorous flourish before the curtain falls as the club is filled with rampant applause and whistles.
You exhaled as if you had been holding your breath underwater throughout the whole performance.
You’ve been singing for as long as you can remember. You’ve performed for plenty of audiences all over…and somehow this performance seemed the most nerve-wracking and the longest one to you.
“So…the sheriff, huh?” Carol inquired with a smirk. “Can’t say I saw that one coming.” She handed you a cup of water.
“Oh, shush,” you take the cup from her hand. “...a girl can dream, right?”
“Hey, for Fables, the lives we live and where we come from…dreams are just the beginning.”
You offer a small half smile before making your way back to your dressing room.
Suddenly all the confidence you had going into the night started dissipating as you realized that perhaps, you should let go of this infatuation you have. He didn’t seem all to pleased or eager by your stunt…or maybe you just genuinely caught the sheriff off-guard…
You two get along fine. You’re able to converse with him casually, you were one of the few Fables outside of the Woodlands that weren’t either sour with him or scared of him. One of the few that you felt were genuinely in his corner.
At least…you hoped he felt that way, at the very least. He may not hold any romantic feelings for you, and you could live with that, but you wanted him to at least know he had someone who believed in him.
You began wiping off your make-up in your mirror when you noticed through the reflection of your room that something was slipped under your door.
When you turned around you half-expected nothing to be there and your eyes were playing tricks, but surely enough there was a tiny folded up piece of paper there.
As you tightened the belt around your robe, you walked over to pick up the note.
You unraveled the note to see some hastily drawn handwriting that you can barely make out.
Hey-
Thanks for the tip, I was able to get the guy and hopefully he’ll spill his guts soon enough.
Also, I enjoyed your performance tonight, despite the heart attack you gave me.
May come back to see you one of these nights.
Stay safe and see you around.
-Bigby
A tiny flutter filled your chest as a small slowly grows across your face. You cling the tiny note to your chest and let out a tiny excited squeal.
You couldn’t wait to head home and get some sleep to dream of what’s to come.

𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚖𝚗 𝙻𝚎𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚜 [𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚢𝚂𝚑𝚒𝚙𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙵𝚒𝚌]
lmao quick fic i wrote last night. ive been sleep deprived for a whole week sorry this is kinda bad
ao3 version (i need to find a better site than the shitty proship filled one but whatever)
If you were to ask the ninja what their favorite season was, most of them would say autumn. “Not too hot, not too cold” Nya would say, and Lloyd would agree. “It has Halloween” was Cole’s reason. Morro never gave a proper reason, but for him he liked the mood autumn came with. It was always oddly calm during the season, so he enjoyed being outside more during fall.
Although one thing he never liked about autumn was raking leaves.
Master Wu always had Morro raking the leaves as a chore when autumn came around, and apparently almost 50 years and a revival later Wu still had Morro raking leaves. Morro sighed as he moved the rake, flinching for a moment when he accidentally dragged it against rock.
“Wow, I didn’t think you could try any harder to make my ears bleed.”
Morro paused for a moment, looking up at the view tiredly. He turned around, staring at his boyfriend with a grimace on his face. Kai was leaning against his own rake, visibly as uninterested as he could be.
“I think we both know I can do worse.” Morro said to him, turning back to the small pile of leaves in front of him. Kai sighed and rolled his eyes, continuing to tediously rake the leaves near him.
“Can’t you just, I dunno, use your powers to pile them all up?” Kai complained. “Or we could use spinjitzu, just anything to get this over with.” Morro sighed at the whines. “You know how Master Wu feels about us using our powers for chores.” He said, making Kai groan. “Don’t remind me.”
After a couple minutes Kai yawned, looking over at Morro. “Wanna grab a coffee after this?” He asked, setting his hands on the top of the rake and then resting his head. Morro glanced at him, raising an eyebrow.
“We have coffee here.” He simply stated, making Kai roll his eyes again. “It’s not the same, I wanna grab an unreasonably priced seasonal coffee, it’s like, tradition or something like that.” Morro just gave him a strange look. “You want… to waste money?” He asked, completely pausing his work.
Kai smiled, holding back a chuckle. It had been a few years since Morro was revived, and despite having learned a lot of modern day culture he still clearly had a ways to go.
“Calm down, I wasn’t being serious,” Kai replied. Then his face fell a bit. “At least I hope I wasn’t. They’re not gonna charge too much for seasonal coffee, right?” Kai set a hand on his chin, pretending to think. Morro just shook his head, going back to work. “Just hurry up and rake the leaves, I wanna finish that show Jay told me about.” Kai pouted.
“So no coffee?” Kai swiftly moved out of the way when Morro suddenly threw a rock at him, the fire ninja letting out a loud laugh. “I’m joking!”
Despite the cool winds blowing up on the mountains Morro had to shrug off his jacket at some point, promptly ignoring Kai with a blush on his face when the man whistled. Morro was almost done with his side of the grass while Kai wasn’t nearly as finished, and Morro chalked it up to the man goofing around most of the time rather than taking the chore seriously.
Morro was deep into thought when Kai suddenly startled him, placing a hand on his shoulder. The green-haired boy glared at him, immediately noting the smirk on the brunette’s face.
“Hey, we never jumped in leaves together before, have we?” Kai asked, and Morro cocked an eyebrow in confusion. Kai just smiled at him wider, and suddenly went to a nearby pile of leaves that Morro had raked not too long ago. “Bring another pile into this one, trust me on this.”
Despite Morro’s gut instinct to immediately shove Kai away and in fact not trust him, he instead just sighed, and listened. Soon enough there was a large pile of leaves in front of the two, and Morro set his hands on his hips.
“There, are you happy?” Morro looked down at the pile, muttering about how it would take longer to put the leaves in bags now. Kai just handed Morro his own rake, taking a few steps back. Morro, slightly concerned with Kai’s actions, also took a few steps back, and before he realized it Kai sprinted back towards the pile, jumping straight into it.
Morro gasped as leaves flew everywhere, and he glared at Kai, who was giggling deep into the now slightly smaller pile. “Are you trying to give me more work?!” The man scolded, dropping both rakes out of spite. “I’m not raking those again! That’s your job now.” Morro finished by crossing his arms, and Kai chuckled.
“Yeah yeah, I’m a terrible boyfriend and I give you such a headache” Kai mocked, making Morro scoff. “You do, for the record.” It was a lie, but Morro would sooner jump off the mountain than admit it. Kai just shifted his hand a bit and patted the leaves next to him.
“Jump in! It’s comfy.” Morro shook his head. “Kai, I’m almost certain there are bugs in there, I’m not doing that.” Kai smirked.
“What, is the big bad Morro scared of a couple bugs?” Morro glared at him before walking right up to him, setting a foot on the man’s stomach. Kai’s eyes widened, looking up at Morro concerned. “Uh, babe? What are you-“ but before Kai could finish he let out a loud huff as Morro shoved him deeper into the pile, his face getting mostly covered by the leaves now.
Morro stood proudly with a smirk as Kai spat out the leaves, shaking his head trying to remove as many as possible. “You dick! What the hell was that for?!” Kai yelled, wiping dirt off his face. Morro simply placed a hand over his chest, a fake evil expression on his face.
“Oh, I thought I was the big bad Morro, are you surprised that I’m being bad?” He mocked, his grin widening when Kai glared at him. “We should’ve left you in the departed realm.” He said, sitting up. Morro rolled his eyes, and held his hand out for Kai to grab. “We have to finish raking these leaves, come on.”
Kai looked down at Morro’s hand, then back up at him. Morro’s eyes widened, but before he could pull away Kai quickly grabbed his arm with both hands, yanking the man down into the pile of leaves next to him. Morro’s vision was a blur for a moment, and for a second everything was soft around him, before the itching feeling of leaves was on his skin, and he immediately sat up, eyes wide.
Morro could hear Kai laugh loudly next to him, and Morro could only imagine his boyfriend was doubling over. The former ghost quickly began wiping the leaves off his arms, shifting uncomfortably on the ground.
“I’m never helping you up ever again.” Morro threatened, and all he got was more leaves falling over his head. Morro paused, turning to face Kai with an unamused expression. Kai was giggling, one of his arms almost completely hidden from the way he leaned into the pile of leaves. Morro almost felt frozen as he stared at Kai, analyzing his face. The scar over his eye, the bandage next to his eyebrow, the small wrinkles Kai so desperately denies having. Morro never forgot just how beautiful Kai was, but whenever he took moments to just look at him, he was absolutely floored.
And Kai could only do the same. Kai stared at the markings left by Morro’s years spent as a ghost, left by the preeminent when she dragged Morro into the sea with her. He analyzed every scar, noting the ones he had as a child and the ones he gained during his time as a ninja. Morro hated his face, he was ashamed of the markings, to him they were a reminder of the foolish boy he once was.
To Kai they were like scars, reminders that Morro had survived. Despite all that he went through, he survived, and he changed for the better. Kai was proud of Morro, and he would always remind Morro of that.
Kai leaned over and rested a hand on Morro’s cheek, and almost instantly the man leaned into it, setting his own hand over Kai’s. They laid in silence for a few minutes, simply enjoying each other’s company.
Soon enough Morro realized they both needed to get up, and sighed softly. “C’mon, let’s just finish up here and we can grab that coffee you wanted.” Morro spoke up, sitting up a bit. Kai smirked. “Oh? Had a change of heart?” Morro shook his head, smiling softly. “You have a way of changing people’s minds.”
Kai laughed softly, and before Morro could get up Kai suddenly pulled him forward, making him yelp. Morro fell on top of Kai, and the ninja wrapped his arms around him. Morro looked down at Kai, a blush clear as day on his face. Kai looked back up at him, smiling, before leaning in to steal a kiss.
Morro practically melted in Kai’s arms, moving his hands to cup the brunette’s face. They refused to pull away until they couldn’t hold their breaths anymore, and even then they couldn’t stay separated for long, almost immediately leaning back in.
Eventually Morro pulled away, just a bit. Their breathing was heavy, unable to break eye contact. Kai’s fingers scratched Morro’s head lightly, his hand having found its way into his hair.
Morro glanced down at Kai’s lips, momentarily distracted from his thoughts. “We need to get up.. these leaves are itchy.” He complained softly, and Kai chuckled. “In a minute,” he responded. “Just stay here another minute..” Morro didn’t complain as he leaned back in, his lips connecting with Kai’s.
If Wu asked why they took so long raking leaves he could just blame Kai for distracting him.

Obey Me! NB "Happy School Life" Pop Quiz Event
Oh my goodness! Has it really been a month since I last posted?? June went by super fast!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The club activity event was okay in my mind. A bit dull club activity wise, would have liked more more in depth explanation of the activities. Plus once again where was Beel! stop hiding him! (tho as of writing this the current event seems to be Beel themed so yay!)
However, there was some very sweet/fun character moments. We got to hear about how dedicated Beel is to his club + making new members feel welcome.
We got kendo Diavolo *blushes*. Kendo suits him really well! Plus possessive Diavolo when we are taking photos of the band group (Lucifer, Barbatos, Simeon - lead singer Lucifer hehe).
Also there was a fun Asmo/Solomon dynamic going on. I love how they ended up being the only members in their respective clubs so they got placed in a room together ALONE. I'm sure they both enjoyed that teehee.
Putting together a photo album at the end + Diavolo giving us a picture was cute too :3
I wanna read Satan's detective novel! (when he's ready to share of course)
Tumblr media
Missed out on Levi's shower card, but it looks great! I love how hes super excited about the shirt and when its unlocked hes wearing it happily. Its such a typical anime shirt design style! 10/10
Lucifer Birthday Event!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please! Lucifer's birthday event was amazing! If irl I could do this stuff with him I would be very pleased <3
Ended up playing it a few days after Lucifer's birthday while waiting for my sis's graduation to start xD It was good to pass the time, except the seats were all conected so every time someone stood up the whole row shook!
A good breakfast with the family, visiting a bookstore (where we both get stuff cause its the worst when you buy something, but your date does not), the opera, spending a quiet dinner together at a nice bar, and dancing!
Loved how when the brothers found out I was spending the day alone with Lucifer, Levi was the first to object. Then Beel was the voice of reason being like "Guys its Lucifer's birthday we can be jealous another day, just not today!" What a good lil bro.
The part at the bar where Lucifer says "Its a shame I can only enjoy this on my birthday." I know he says that cause his drink is a special 'birthday drink' you can only get on your birthday. But since I don't drink I'm gonna pretend he said that since he's the only one who is drinking xD I usually get cranberry juice or gingerale when I'm out.
Obey Me! NB "The Devildom RAD Rangers" Pop Quiz Event
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was fun and silly event. The outfits were very nice for all the characters. Very modest (except Beel's), but on theme. Would have liked Mammon to be a hero tho! Was a missed opertunity for character development. Kinda was everyone vs Mammon.
Lots of good duos - Levi and Asmo practicing poses. Lucifer and Diavolo getting fancy cells. Think there was a Simeon and Solomon moment (I don't remember).
Super cute moment where you get to cuddle Beel and Bel at the same time to release a power move. (Yes that's totally why we were doing that lol)
Normally I don't get around to reading the devilgrams, but I did read the "Brother's no more" memory one and highly recommend. As both a Lucifer and Simeon main it was an interaction I have been hoping would happen at some point! ^_^
***
I might not be... normal about the next/current event xD so my next post might be a bit wacky lmao

hey! would you be able to do a funny story with sodapop and twobit? just them being chaotic and silly lmao thanks :)
Authors Note: yes ofc anon! they're just two good buddies. also lets pretend that cherry coke existed in the 60s
Just Two Best Friends
Sodapop Curtis x Two-Bit Matthews
Tumblr media
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon when Sodapop Curtis and Two-Bit decided they were bored. And when those two got bored, it didn’t just mean playing pranks on each other—no, it meant chaos was about to unfold.
It all started innocently enough. Soda had been lounging on the couch in the Curtis house, flipping through a stack of comic books he’d already read a thousand times. Two-Bit was sprawled on the floor, doing his best to nap despite the blaring music from the jukebox in the corner of the room.
"Hey, man," Soda said, flipping a page and looking up at his best friend. "What do you think about doing something fun today?"
Two-Bit’s eyes barely opened, just enough for a lazy glare. "Ain’t nothing fun on a Saturday but messing with the Socs or eating something that’s bad for you."
Soda grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I’m talking about something even better than that. Something legendary."
Two-Bit raised an eyebrow but didn’t sit up. "Like what? You planning on stealing a car again or pranking Ponyboy into thinking his hair’s been cut?"
Soda shook his head, leaning forward. "No, even better. I’m talking about the ultimate heist."
Two-Bit squinted, his brain finally starting to catch up. "Ultimate heist? What are we, in some kinda movie now?"
Soda was practically vibrating with excitement. "No, I’m serious. I’m thinking… we steal the last case of cherry coke from the grocery store."
Two-Bit froze. "Wait, what?"
Soda leaned closer. "You heard me right. The last case. They’ve got it in the back, behind the shelves, and we’re gonna take it. The cherry coke of legends."
Two-Bit sat up so fast he nearly toppled over. "No way! Are you telling me there’s still a full case of cherry coke at the store? I thought they were all out!"
Soda gave him a sly grin. "I’ve been keeping an eye on it. They’ve been hiding it from everyone, but I know where it is. And today, we’re taking it."
Two-Bit’s eyes lit up with the kind of excitement you usually saw in a kid who’d just been told they could eat an entire cake by themselves. "Well, why didn’t you say so?!"
The next few minutes were spent in a frenzy of action. They threw on jackets—Soda’s was bright red and way too big for him, while Two-Bit’s was a little too small, causing him to look like a kid trying to play dress-up. They ran out the door, barely stopping to wave goodbye to Darry, who gave them a suspicious look but was too busy with work to care.
The grocery store was only a few blocks away, but to Soda and Two-Bit, it felt like they were on a mission of the highest order. As they approached the front of the store, Soda’s eyes narrowed, scanning the parking lot for any sign of danger.
Two-Bit glanced over at him, clearly enjoying the tension. "What, you think the Socs are gonna come out of the bushes or something?"
Soda shushed him. "We gotta be quiet about this. If anyone sees us, we’re screwed. And I’m not going back to the house without that soda."
Two-Bit snorted. "Yeah, and we’ll have to live with the shame of not stealing the legendary cola. The whole gang will never let us live it down!"
They snuck around the side of the store, peeking through the windows to make sure no one was looking. Two-Bit looked at Soda, grinning like a maniac. "You sure you know where this case is? You’re not making me run around for some made-up story about cherry coke, are you?"
Soda smirked. "Trust me. I’ve been watching that case for weeks."
As they reached the back entrance, Soda nudged the door open with his elbow, barely making a sound. Two-Bit, of course, couldn’t resist the urge to make a loud clang as he knocked over a metal bucket by accident.
"Shh!" Soda whispered, but it was too late. They could hear footsteps approaching, and in a panic, the two of them rushed behind the nearest shelf, crouching down.
"Aw, come on!" Two-Bit groaned. "This is exactly what I was trying to avoid!"
Soda peeked over the shelf, spotting the store manager, a stern-looking woman who seemed to have eyes in the back of her head. "She’s coming this way. We gotta move!"
The two of them scurried along the back aisle, nearly knocking over a display of canned goods, before finally making it to the aisle that housed the fabled cherry coke.
But there was a problem.
The case of cherry coke wasn’t where Soda had seen it last.
"Uh, Soda," Two-Bit said, his voice tinged with panic. "Where’s the case?"
Soda’s face fell. "I—I swear it was here."
Two-Bit threw his hands up in the air. "You had one job, Soda!"
Before either of them could react, the store manager rounded the corner. "Hey!" she shouted, spotting them standing suspiciously in the aisle. "What are you two doing back here?"
Soda froze. Two-Bit, however, had other ideas.
With a mischievous grin, he grabbed the nearest bottle of root beer and threw it down the aisle. It clinked as it rolled, and the manager immediately turned to chase it.
Soda wasted no time. "Quick! The cola’s gotta be in the back. Let’s go!"
Without even thinking about the consequences, they both bolted for the storage room door. Soda pulled it open, and they rushed inside. The case of cherry coke sat on a high shelf, just waiting for them.
"We made it!" Soda cheered.
Two-Bit rubbed his hands together. "Now all we gotta do is get it out of here without that manager catching us."
Soda looked around. "I got an idea. You distract her, and I’ll grab it."
Two-Bit nodded. "I’m on it."
As they made their way back toward the front of the store, Soda grabbed the case, struggling under its weight as he tried to make his way to the door. They ducked and weaved through aisles, narrowly avoiding running into customers.
Just as they made it to the door, the manager spotted them. "Hey! You can’t just—!"
Soda turned, held up the cherry Coke, and said, "You’re right. But we can!" With that, he kicked the door open and ran out into the street, laughing like a maniac.
Two-Bit followed, yelling, "We’re legends, Soda! Legends!"
And so, in a haze of laughter and chaos, the two of them made their great escape. By the time they reached the Curtis house, both of them were out of breath, and their cheeks hurt from grinning.
"You think Darry’s gonna be mad we stole a case of cherry coke?" Two-Bit asked, still chuckling.
Soda glanced at him, still panting but happy. "Nah. He’ll be impressed. Who else can say they’ve pulled off a heist this good?"
Two-Bit slapped him on the back. "We’re gonna tell the whole gang about this. They’ll never believe us."
And, for once, Sodapop Curtis and Two-Bit Matthews had done something truly ridiculous—something completely chaotic—and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.

♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎
Heeseung
You were pissed off, to say the least. Being a non-confrontational person, you always knew other ways to manage your anger.
Until this girl insulted Heeseung, who didn’t do anything to provoke her. You and Heeseung were on a date, enjoying breakfast.
That was until you stuck out your leg and tripped her as she fell, causing her to fall face down, stunned.
This gave you enough time to grab a fistful of her hair and yank her up onto her knees before swinging your fists into the side of her face repeatedly as bystanders— and Heeseung, watched in shock and horror.
“Hey man, get your girl!” A bystander hissed at Heeseung. Heeseung immediately shook his head. He has never seen you this pissed off before and the last thing he was going to do was get in the middle of all of your pent up anger.
“Nope. This is between them. I’m fine where I’m standing.”
You won the fight, unscathed, and with a boyfriend who secretly felt honored that you defended him, even if he does wish the situation turned out differently.
Jay
“Ow!” You seethed as Jay dabbed the wet rag as gently as he could over the cut on your cheek. As much as your bruises and cuts hurt, you were still slightly embarrassed for losing the fight against your enemy.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t want you to get any infections. Please hold still.” Jay’s tone was gentle and soothing. But he was there to witness the fight, and you could tell he wasn’t very happy about it.
You held still and kept quiet for the majority of the time that he helped you. That was until the silence felt too deafening.
“Are you mad at me?” You sheepishly asked. Jay let out a soft sigh as he applied the last bandage to your busted lip. Your face was a mess after the fight, but now it was a mess covered in bandages.
“Why did you get so angry? You’re never that angry.” Jay’s voice was still gentle as he refused to raise his voice at you.
“I don’t know. I just remember her saying something and-and it set me off.” You replied with as much honesty as you could muster. “I hated it— the anger. Not because I lost, but because it just felt very…”
“Not you?” Jay finished, cleaning up all of the bandage wrappers and bloodied rags.
You nodded, still thinking of words you meant to say, but felt Jay’s response was close enough.
Jay looked at you and put a hand on your shoulder as gentle as ever, “please tell me next time you feel yourself about to snap again.”
You nodded again, vowing to not snap like that again. At least not in front of him.
He leaned down to kiss your forehead on the part that didn’t have a bandage.
“Let’s eat something. We can talk more about this later.”
Jake
“Hey! Babe! Stop!” Jake held his hands up in surprise. You were too blind in rage, pounding your fists against your enemies face repeatedly that Jake’s voice didn’t register.
Jake looked at your enemies boyfriend, who was just as shocked as he was.
“Do something!” He yelled towards Jake. Jake tried to think of a way to get you to stop— to listen, without accidentally getting hurt in the crossfire.
Suddenly, your enemy pushed you off by jabbing her knuckle into your sternum, causing you to fall beside her, breathlessly and feeling as if your lungs had collapsed.
Now you were the one with fists being pounded into your face repeatedly.
You were on the verge of passing out when she abruptly stopped, leaving your face bloodied and sore.
“Let me go!” She screamed. Jake watched briefly in relief as her boyfriend managed to drag her off of you and away from the scene entirely. Then he rushed to your side, collapsing to his knees.
Putting his hands on either side of your face with care, he felt worried that you stopped breathing.
But then you gasped as air started to flow through your lungs regularly.
“Babe! Are you okay?! Can you speak?” Jake was close to dialing for emergency services when you forced yourself to sit up, using your sleeve to wipe some of the blood off of your face, only to wince.
“Jake?” Your voice was weak and raspy. Jake put his arm around you to assist you.
“Yes, love?”
“Did I win?”
Sunghoon
Sunghoon was surprised to see how aggressively you fought back when a group of girls tried to jump you. He was even more surprised to see that his non-confrontational girlfriend had won against all three of them.
You clenched your bloodied knuckles, feeling the soreness taking over. Quickly, you marched over to Sunghoon, grabbed his hand, and pulled him after you as you fled the area.
Sunghoon didn’t say a word, not knowing what to say.
He wasn’t sure if you were still angry or if you were in pain, but he kept quiet until you both got to your place. You quickly locked the doors and went to the bathroom, leaving him standing in your living room.
Sunghoon knew he should ask about what happened eventually. He made his way to the bathroom, hearing the sink running and the door was open ajar.
You hissed, wincing as the water washed off the blood from your bruised knuckles.
Sunghoon opened the door and took your hands in his to examine the damage done.
“I didn’t know you could fight like that.” He commented and reached for the first aid kit under the sink. You lightheartedly chuckled.
“I never had the opportunity before.”
Sunghoon raised his eyebrows in surprise but kept quiet and wrapped two bandage wraps around your knuckles, trying to be helpful. You watched, feeling the anger fading away as you watched your boyfriend helping you.
Sunoo
You managed to get one swing in before the other girl ran away in fear. You huffed, shaking your sore fist to try and alleviate it.
“Um.” Sunoo cleared his throat, hesitantly walking close to you after previously standing back far enough to avoid getting hit during the short-lived fight.
“Yeah?” You turned to him, speaking in a soft tone. You felt a bit of guilt that he had to witness your rage like that. Even if it was for a minute.
Sunoo never thought he would see you punch someone. He didn’t think he’d see you do as little as yell at someone, you were always non-confrontational.
“What… was that about?” He asked, glancing from you and to the direction the girl ran off to. You took a deep breath, rubbing your knuckles.
“I’m so sorry you had to see that.” You apologized, seeing the shock on his face. If you overanalyzed it, you could see a bit of disappointment.
“You didn’t answer my question.” Sunoo slightly frowned. You gently nodded, “she was my enemy back in school. I just didn’t think she’d hold onto our rivalry for this long.”
Sunoo was still confused but then again, he heard what your enemy said to you before you swung your fist into her cheek.
“Just… Please, don’t fight again. Please?”
You felt bad. You never wanted to disappoint him like this. So you agreed.
“I promise. Never again.”
Jungwon
“Hey, it’s okay to cry. You did get hurt.” Jungwon tried to soothe you as you sat in your bed, crying.
But not because the bruises and cuts you received hurt. You were crying because you lost.
In front of Jungwon. And the small crowd that surrounded when the fight broke out.
You were crying from embarrassment and you’ve ultimately decided you could never show your face in that area again.
“Let’s have a movie night. You can pick the movie. I will buy snacks. Okay? Let it all out first.” Jungwon suggested, a caring— yet concerned smile on his face. You felt better knowing he wasn’t entirely mad at you.
Not anymore, at least. He hated seeing you fight. You never fight. Not even with words. He hated it more that you got hurt.
“Okay…” You sniffled, wiping your eyes, careful not to touch the bandages that stuck to your face.
Jungwon seemed relieved when you stopped crying.
“Good. Now please, never fight again. You could’ve gotten even more hurt.” Jungwon gently took your hand in his.
“You also can’t fight.”
“Hey!” You widened your eyes, feeling the embarrassment seep in again.
“Sorry! But your timing was all off.” Jungwon sheepishly chuckled.
And you let it slide, knowing he was right.
Niki
When the fight broke out, Niki stepped back immediately, confused and surprised, not wanting to get in the middle.
He watched, wide eyed and a bit in awe seeing you fight. With how heavy you landed your punches, he wasn’t worried about whether you’d be the one needing a ton of bandages and possible medical help.
But he was worried about you getting into trouble for this and even though he was in awe, he didn’t like the sight of you being angry and aggressive like this.
Even if the other girl started it and technically, it would be self defense on your part.
After a few long second, Niki swallowed back a gulp, “okay, enough—”
He stopped speaking when he saw the girl’s boyfriend angrily stomping towards you, his fist clenched. Her boyfriend was planning to stop you himself.
Even if that meant needing to hit you to get you off.
Niki knew you could take this guy too. But you weren’t aware of your surroundings, only of your target.
Niki scoffed, picking up a decently sized rock nearby and raising it in the air as if he were about to throw it.
“Try it.” Niki projected his voice, causing the boyfriend— And you, to stop.
You saw what Niki was about to do— throw the rock at the guy. You quickly got up and ran to Niki, taking the rock out of his hand and fleeing the area with him.
Note 2: I'm sorry, Niki's was lowkey based off of a dream where it was on sight for everyone because someone ate the leftovers he saved.

Hey y'all, I am so damn sorry for being absent for so damn long, my imagination is just.. not in its best state rn, and I'm so damn busy with school, exams and all that, and just my private life.. but..
Since I love y'all sm.. I have smth to share, just like.. a little vent, so.. yesterday I was on my step brothers 18th birthday, and I have to give u a lil review of what happened cus.. MMMM 🤭
Okay.. SO.. uhh, the first few minutes, I was anxious as hell and so damn nervous, then later I was stuffing my mouth with food and when there was no food I was kinda bored and my step godfathers son dm'd me and asked me if I was bored
I said yes, and he said, alr let's go outside, with his friend who was also there (his friend lwk very cute..), and we ended up walking and talking (and running cus we disturbed a random grandma and she came out of the house and we tought she'll start running after us)
Аnd during that walk he gave me a piggy back ride, we compared hand sizes (🤭🤭), and he often touched my waist..
Moving on when we were back inside it was again a bit boring then my mom told me to stand with them and "dance", there was a table for adults and for teens, aka my step siblings, my older sister, some of their friends, me and my step godfathers son, so.. and she pushed me there and I first danced with my sister a bit, cus.. uhh, I was a bit embarrassed.. introvert shit
Then my mom called over the godfathers son, and told him to like.. take me with them to stand there and just talk, so he did and he held my waist the whole damn timeeee, and all I drunk that night is some ass peach juice which lwk was bussin, and his energy drink
Then we ended up going to my step uncle's house, first I hated it cus I was physically and mentally tired and just wanted to go home 😫😫, change and fockin' sleep mate.. but yeah.. in the end it was actually nice, all of them were drunk, except my mom and my step aunt, but yeah.. it was so damn nice and fun ngl, i really enjoyed it..
Also on top of other stuff we did, when me the son and his friend we're on the walk the tree of us couldn't fit to walk along side each other on the side walk and I didn't want to walk behind them cus Im a fast walker, same problem with walking Infront of them, so I walked on the grass, it was kinda muddy since it rained, and he noticed that (the son) and he put a hand on my back gently and was like "hey.. don't walk on mud.." and moved to the side to make space for me so we walk along side each other
Next thing he did while we were dancing, it wasn't even dancing it was basically just moving from side to side to the music, and ngl I was a bit tense cus I was embarrassed, and ig he noticed that since he held my waist and he turned me to face him, shook my shoulders a bit, laughed, then said "come onnn, loosen up a bit.."
And the last thing he did for the night was.. let me just remember- ok, remembered.. so, after dancing a bit my legs were tired cus bro I wasn't built for this shii, and I told him that and he was like "go sit down for a bit.." and again put his hand on my back
Alr that's all.. as i said before I had sm fun, and.. yeah.... please tell me ur toughts on this- idk if it's like.. wrong to like him.. (does he like me back in the first place), cus like.. he is my STEP godfathers son.. so we ain't blood related in any shape or form but still.. idk.. I'm overthinking sm lmao, also since he is my STEP godfathers son he is to me personally.. and any of my blood related family members more like a.. family friend.. so idk bro.. i fr don't know, tell me ur opinions on this pls 🙏😭

finished episode 4 👍🏻 still gotta finish the tea party (dead kinzo YEAH) and the ???? bit but mostly finished it. stuff is getting soo out of hand, i am soo displeased with how downhill the last two chapters after the cause of the tragedy (top 5 chapters so far) went, it was one of the few times i was actually kinda disliking what i was reading. i just really djsgddj dislike when something is stated and then almost immediately taken back or when something is hyped but ends being... not that cool
did we. really need a whole ass new aunt character. omg! if they had to bring eva back from the dead (lol) and summon eva beatrice, if they needed the character of eva there to get the point across anyway, did we REALLY need the whole ass sumadera aunt character... to even exist. maybe that's just me, but if she never shows up again (i'm sure she will) and that was her only role in the story i'm gonna be soo pissed (i guess it's good to know more about kyrie in general too. still, something about that made me pissed). and the way chdkcj we only saw the GRASS of rokkenjima, ange ✨ learned about magic ✨ and that was it, omg fuck OFF. that trip to rokkenjima was SO hyped and then it was just 😐 so we could learn a lesson 😐 smh. so funny how at the end ange was just "see you in hell, eva, need to go kill beatrice ✌🏻" LMAO that seems very aggressive after a whole hour of talking about love and compassion lmaooo but sure, i get it, go off, do what you have to.
UGH the whole "yeah, battler's back. yeah, i just got him back. yeah, he's a bit shaken but he's holding up" omg! bullshit! everyone acted as if that was the GRAVEST thing that could possibly happen and then two seconds later yeah. he's fine. yeah, that was just a scare. AND the whole "no, of course you're battler. it doesn't matter if your mom's not your mom. yeah, sure, you're battler" omg!! bullshit!! the whole thing was presented at first as if it were some WILD revelation that shook the very foundations of everything we know and then two seconds later yeah. you're battler. take ahold of yourself, battler. that's what i mean about presenting something and then immediately taking it back... it's not the thing itself that i dislike, it's just that, structurally speaking, that was a very frustrating way of presenting information. maybe it was on purpose, and if it was it worked because:
Tumblr media
anyways. some time ago i saw folks saying that by the end of episode four you should already have a pretty solid idea of things which, well, seems a lot to expect of me at this point lmao. i guess i should reread the previous episodes cause that's also something the voices of the internet tell you...? so i should do that, obviously not through the vn again cause i'm not insane

Lick 👅 with Frank castle 👀👀👀
To make up for my misunderstanding last time, this one is mostly about Frank’s tits lmao I also got carried away so this took longer than I expected (I know there’s a lot of biting in this too, I just have my own kinks for Frank and I can’t help it lol)
It began with a little impromptu ice cream party.
Frank had brought home a big bottle of chocolate syrup for some dessert recipe you were going to try making tomorrow. You dug out the big tub of ice cream left over from the last birthday you’d celebrated and Frank managed to reach the jar of cherries that had found its way to the very back of the fridge’s top shelf. You also snagged the small bottle of strawberry syrup that was stuck amongst the other condiments, glad to add more options, even if the whole selection was still pretty basic. No bananas or waffle cones, not even a can of whipped cream.
It was nice, chatting and laughing, making sugary abominations before settling on the couch and putting on an old show you’d been rewatching lately.
You’d both overestimated how much could fit in your bowls, which became a slight problem when everything started melting.
Frank got a glob of ice cream on his shirt because it was barely solid enough to stay on a spoon, and your generous syrup drizzle had dripped down the sides of your bowl and onto you. You missed a good five minute chunk of the episode while trying to clean the drops off the coffee table and rinse some of the stickiness from your hands.
Once everything was reasonably cleaned up, you paused the show and followed Frank into the bedroom so you could both change out of your (hopefully not permanently stained) clothes.
That should’ve been a pretty quick and easy process, but you were feeling giddy and happy and maybe a little frisky.
A very nice night combined with a suddenly shirtless Frank Castle often had that effect.
“Honey?”
Frank didn’t look up from where he was trying to pick a shirt from his drawer, but he tilted his head to let you know he was listening. “Hmm?”
You toyed with the hem of your own shirt, eyes tracing the lines of his back and shoulders. “Would you be willing to try something really quick?”
He paused in his search and you could see the beginnings of a smirk on his face as he tilted it just a little bit more. “I might be.”
“It might get a little…sticky,” you told him, taking a step closer. “And I kinda lied about it being really quick.”
He pushed the drawer shut and turned to face you fully, arms crossed over his bare chest. “Listening.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, knowing that he was completely aware of what he was doing.
He wore that small, self-satisfied smile he got whenever he guessed where your mind was going.
“No restraints,” you said, silently pleased when his brows lifted in mild surprise. You loved tying him up. “But I do want you to lay down with your hands over your head.”
“No touching?”
“Not unless I say so.”
He nodded, his gaze flitting to follow every move you made as you stepped closer again. “And?”
You made a show of trying to decide, lips pursed. “I think… I’ll make some art,” you drawled, taking a step. “I’m gonna go get those bottles of syrup” another step “and use you as my canvas.”
He hummed thoughtfully. “Do I get anything out of this deal?”
“My endless love and devotion,” you said sweetly. With a shrug, you added, “Maybe an orgasm.”
A small grin pulled at his lips even as he shook his head. “I’ll grab a towel.”
You beamed and quickly went to get the syrup back out.
When you got back to the bedroom, a very nice sight was there to greet you.
Frank had stripped down to his boxer briefs and was lounging on the bed, towel already spread out beneath him.
You took a moment to simply admire him, mouth watering at the thought of what you were about to do. Cool, sticky-sweet syrup on warm skin.
“Didn’t know if you wanted me fully nude,” he said, a hand tucked behind his head as he looked you up and down.
You shook your head, stepping forward to put the bottles on the bed. “This is good, for now.” You stripped down as well and climbed onto the bed with him, scooting the syrup bottles onto the towel so they would be within easy reach. Swinging a leg over him, you straddled his hips and rested your hands on his broad chest. “I always get so many ideas when I see you like this,” you told him, fingertips pressing lightly into his skin. “Makes it hard to focus when we first get started.”
“Just means there’ll be more fun in the future.” He slid both hands up above his head, arms flexing with the move, muscles in his chest and shoulders shifting in the process.
It did nothing to help you focus.
He was only doing what you’d told him to.
You cupped his face in your hands and looked him in the eye. “I know you’re the hottest man alive and everything, but can you give me a second to think because I had a plan.”
His eyes widened. “You told me to lay like this,” he defended, laughter edging into his voice.
“Yeah, but you’re being sexy about it.”
“Because we’re about to have sex!”
“No,” you corrected, “I’m painting. You’re making it about sex.”
Frank rolled his eyes but said nothing.
You took it as an opportunity to figure out where you wanted to start. You had a vague plan for what you wanted to ‘paint,’ but the first move wasn’t as clear. Picking up the strawberry syrup, you popped the cap off and leaned over Frank, assessing the planes of his chest, his stomach, his neck.
Your gaze settled on his collarbones. Tipping the bottle, you traced a careful line across his skin from the curve of one collarbone to the other. It ended a little shaky and you bit your lip. You could leave it. You could wipe it off with a corner of the towel. Or…
Leaning down, you swiped your tongue through the end of the line of syrup. It was still cool, and sweet as candied fruit.
Frank stilled, breath halting for a moment before he exhaled slowly as you rose back up. “Didn’t know you were gonna tease me,” he grunted.
You scoffed as you fixed the line. “I’m not teasing. You’d know if I was teasing.” Squinting, you considered your next move.
“Well, I was expecting something like temperature play but sticky, and now you’re licking me.” He shrugged. “I feel like licking is a tease.”
“A tease for what? Biting?”
“Wouldn’t be the first time.”
You scowled at him. “Rude.”
He grinned. “Never said it was a bad thing.”
With a huff, you closed the strawberry syrup and grabbed the chocolate. You had it open and upturned quickly, squeezing a generous amount of the syrup onto the center of his chest.
He jolted, letting out a curse as goosebumps rose on his skin. “Jesus! That’s fucking cold.”
“I thought you wanted temperature play,” you said sweetly. You didn’t miss the fact that, even with the shock of cold, he had kept his hands up. He was usually very clear about when he wasn’t on board with something, and his continuing to follow instructions was a good sign that he liked where things were going.
Leaning down, you slowly dragged your tongue through the chocolate until you could taste the salt of his skin. Cold, followed by warm.
He was still again, chest not moving at all while you licked him clean. As you sat up, there was the faintest shiver that ran through him, his eyes dark.
“Do you like when I do that, honey?”
Taking a deep breath, chest expanding under your hand, he nodded. “Yeah.” The word was an exhale, long and low.
You abandoned the idea of making some big, specific design. This was better.
Making another line, this one from the center of his chest and across a pectoral, you gave multiple little licks along the length of chocolate, taking long enough that he couldn’t hold his breath like he had before. Once the syrup was gone, you pressed a kiss to his chest. “Good boy.”
“Fuck,” he grunted, adam’s apple bobbing.
You swapped back to the strawberry and made a circle around his nipple. The sound of the sheets shifting made you look up from your work, only to find that Frank had a tight grip on the pillows above his head. The sight made you smile. You kept your eyes on his face as you trailed after the syrup with the tip of your tongue.
A small, desperate sound left him and a twisted kind of delight warmed your chest. Letting your teeth graze the peak of his nipple had the sound drawing out until he was breathless. You kissed and licked and nipped at his skin for a long while, your hands soothing and gentle whenever he got restless from the sensations. Then, you switched to the other side of his chest.
You still made little dots of syrup here and there, but it had become more of an afterthought than the main focus. Frank became more sensitive every moment, squirming and shifting under your mouth and hands, making low, debauched noises and higher pleas for more.
It wasn’t until you bit harder into the meat of his pec, just beside his nipple, that he actually arched up, his loud moan filling the small bedroom.
Your whole body prickled with heat, the steady waves of arousal you’d been feeling coming to a crest at the sound. Rising up, you caught sight of his flushed face, his heaving chest all speckled with little bruises. He no longer had a death grip on the pillows, his arms resting limp on either side of his head instead. You glanced down and any doubt you’d had vanished at the sight of a wet spot on his dark underwear.
Cupping his jaw, you turned his face toward you. “I thought you were just humoring me with the biting, honey. I didn’t know you liked it so much that you’d come if I did it hard enough.”
“I didn’t—didn’t know,” he huffed.
You traced your other hand over his abused chest, brushing across one of his nipples and making him groan. “Or maybe you just got so sensitive that you couldn’t help yourself,” you mused. You’d have to remember that. Making him come without taking his pants off, without even having to touch him below the belt in any way, could lead to some interesting scenarios in the future.
He blinked heavy eyes up at you. “Can I bring my arms down?”
“Yes.” His shoulders would probably be stiff for a while. Maybe a little massage would help. “I’ll get you cleaned up.”
A hand on your thigh kept you from getting up off of him. Frank was shaking his head. “Let me take care of you first,” he insisted.
You smiled and leaned down to kiss him for being such an unrelenting sweetheart. “I’ll make a deal with you,” you told him. “We can either stay in bed, all sticky and sweaty, while you take care of me. Have a great time until we both realize we got syrup all over the bed because we rolled off of the towel. Then we have to strip the sheets and remake the bed. Or,” you ran your fingers through his sweat damp hair, “we kill two birds with one stone and hop in the shower. You can take care of me in there, hmm? Get clean while we get filthy?”
He hummed in approval. “I like your idea better.”
You laughed and pulled him upright. “I thought you might.”

Flashback from SC
Her phone began to ring exactly at 10:00 AM, making her stir from her sleep as she turned to her side, slowly opening her eyes while reaching out to her phone to turn off the alarm. Rhea slowly sat on the bed as she rubbed her eyes, trying to force herself to wake as she took her phone and unlocked it. She checked to see if she had any texts from the boys or any emails that she needed to take a look at, but so far, nothing. Yet.
This was her last day along with Roman in South Carolina. They both didn’t have anything on their schedule to attend to as this was their last day and plus, they would be leaving for the airport this afternoon to head back home. Technically, they could spend the remainder of their last day doing whatever they wanted. Though she kept in mind that they had until 4:30 PM to check out from the hotel.
She looked to her side to see that Roman was still asleep, the tribal chief not being awakened by the sound of her alarm. Both of them had spent the night together again, their clothes tossed across the floor and both of them laying naked on the bed with the covers being the only thing that covered their bodies. Slowly, and careful not to wake up, she sat up from the bed, finding Roman’s shirt as well as her panties as she put both of them on before she went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She then finished doing so as she rinsed her face before she dried her face with her towel, walking out from the bathroom afterwards when she once again heard her phone ding with text messages, specifically from the group chat that she was in, along with her boys and the Bloodline.
She opened the texts as she sat back on the bed and read them.
J: what time do y’all come back tonight again????? @Rhea @Roman
S: 🤦🏽‍♂️ Jimmy I already told you earlier-
F: Jimmy, they’re coming back @ midnight.
J: nvm
DP: Thank god y’all are coming back THANK GOD
Rolling her eyes, Rhea decided to reply back to Damian’s text in the group chat.
R: So now you’re admitting y’all can’t survive w/o us? lmfaooooo
DM: he’s been stressed ever since you two left lol
J: his hair’s been getting gray just like Paul’s when Roman was out 😭😭
DM: LMAO
DP: Stfu Jimmy 😒
J: 🤣🤣🤣
R: we’ll call you guys when we leave, but please text me or Reigns if u guys want or need anything before we leave
F: stay safe sis
DM: we miss you
J: translation: “I miss you mami pls come back rn.”
DM: 🙄
Rhea shook her head and smiled before she set her phone aside and decided to wake Roman.
“Reigns, get up.” She finally spoke, inching closer to him as she shook and patted his shoulder.
“Five minutes…” He grumbled as he stirred slightly, shifting his body only a bit.
“Oh come on, I was the one riding you last night, no way you’re this tired already. If anything, I should be the one tired.”
Roman only turned slightly as his eyes opened, giving her a look. “Are we really fighting over this now?”
“I don’t know, are we now?” She asked him as she crossed her arms. He only stared at her before he noticed the shirt that she wore.
“… is that my shirt?”
“Yeah.”
“Alright.” Roman grunted as he stood, fetching his underwear and sweatpants from the ground before he turned to her. “Give it back.”
“Nah.”
“Ripley.”
“You have a pair of panties from me, are you going to give those back?”
“Come on, I need to run downstairs to get us breakfast.” He insisted while she arched an eyebrow.
“You have plenty of other shirts, why this one?” Roman sighed in defeat before going onto his suitcase for another shirt.
“You’re gonna give that back to me.” He told her as he put on another shirt.
“And if I don’t?”
Roman was about to walk inside the bathroom when he paused in his steps as soon as Rhea said that. He seemed to contemplate for a few seconds before he turned his head to her.
“Alright, okay, let me rephrase that.” He began while Rhea crossed her arms at him. “If by the time we finish eating breakfast you don’t give me that shirt back, we’re gonna have a problem.”
“Yeah, I highly doubt that since you won’t give me my panties back.” Rhea tsked while leaning comfortably on the bed. “So, you could say we’re even now. You have my panties, and I have your shirt.”
Roman looked at the time on his phone. He seemed to contemplate yet again while Rhea watched him until he spoke. “… Breakfast doesn’t end until 11:30.”
“Reigns.”
“Which means, I have an hour and thirty minutes, plus I can always just order delivery instead, so, last chance; give the shirt back or we’re about to have problems.”
“Oh, you want to go down that route now?” She asked him as she pulled out a pillow.
“No, no pillow fi—“ A pillow was suddenly thrown at his face as he yelped and paused. He then caught it with one hand as he looked down at it before he looked up at her as she retrieved another pillow.
“If you want this shirt back, you’re gonna have to fight for it.”
“… okay, that’s it—“ Before Rhea could react, he attempted to get back on the bed and immediately, she began to smack him with the pillow repeatedly as he shielded himself in defense.
“Aw, what happened now? You can’t even fight back—“ The second she was distracted, Roman suddenly took the pillow from her and the next thing she new, he immediately grabbed her by the waist as his other free hand began to tickle her side.
“Wait—!” She yelped before she suddenly burst out laughing, struggling in his hold while he kept tickling her.
“You’re giving up the shirt now?”
“You son of a— stop—!” She only laughed despite being tickled, up until after a while, she suddenly managed to find her chance as she grabbed his wrist and flipped them over, straddling him on the bed while also pinning him down. Both took a moment to catch their breaths while they looked at each other.
“Giving up now?” She asked him beneath her breath while smirking down at him. He only gazed up at her momentarily, looking as if he wanted to say something at first which was noticed by Rhea. Her smirk slowly faded as she also gazed down at him.
Maybe perhaps it was because she wasn’t ready for him to tell her what she thought he was going to say, or maybe it was potentially the heat of the moment, but she couldn’t help but close the distance between them as they shared a passionate kiss. Her hands were already reaching to remove his shirt while his own hands went underneath the shirt that she wore from him as he caressed her skin. As soon as his shirt came off, she threw it across the floor before she began to lead kisses on his jawline, neck, and chest.
To say the least, they both made sure to only last for thirty minutes that morning, knowing that even if it was their last day like this, it didn’t matter to them for now.
But a deep, unknown, and discreet part of her wished that they had more time.
Tumblr media
“—and with that, we conclude the matter as to why the suggestion of splitting the tag titles had come up to us initially. Now we understand that with you being champions and with war games coming up, it’s not the best option, although I really want you to consider the possibility of giving the tag team division a higher chance and—“
Rhea sat in her chair as she listened to it on and on, wishing that it had already ended as she leaned back on her seat too comfortably. She almost wanted to roll her eyes while hearing Adam speak, twirling the pen that she held in her right hand as she sat between Damian and Finn.
“Listen here, with all due respect, Pearce.” Damian began. “Finn and I should have a say in what we do with our championships. Isn’t that the point of it? Plus, we have an agreement with the Bloodline in the first place. Us spreading the titles apart just to give others that opportunity makes zero sense when you can literally just come up with other types of championships.”
“Well, to be fair, Priest has a point.” Nick admitted as he shifted in his seat. “Despite the Bloodline being on Raw and the Bloodline on Smackdown, everyone is quite acknowledging the fact that both of your groups are now one group at this point.”
“Although, it’s not made official yet.” Adam said as he crossed his arms. At that, everyone within the group looked at each other, then everyone’s heads turned to Rhea and Roman specifically. Roman then outstretched his hand to Paul’s direction as the wiseman gave him a contract.
“You see Pearce, we knew you were going to mention that, so…” Roman then handed the contract to Pearce as he blinked and took it, reading the contents of it as Roman began to explain. “This contract includes everyone’s signature. And when I say everyone, I mean the Judgement Day and the Bloodline.”
Pearce narrowed his eyes as he read the contract before he looked up at Nick, who also wanted to take a look at it as the former wrestler showed him the contents of the paper. As Nick read everything, Rhea spoke.
“You also said you want to give other wrestlers the opportunity, no?” She asked. “Well, this is another way of doing it. By having both our factions unified officially and being able to be on both brands, we can defend our championships and give the spotlight to every superstar in these locker rooms.” She then looked at Adam and Nick firmly as she crossed her arms. “You both want to give people chances, but we? We want to remain on top. So, since we both want something… all we need is your signatures, as well as Triple H’s, and we can call this a day.”
She concluded her speech as she leaned back on her chair once again. All eyes were set on Nick and Pearce as they both contemplated over the contract. Nick then whispered something to Adam’s ear, the latter looking hesitant at first before he sighed and nodded. They then all saw as both men signed the contract.
“We will notify Triple H to be in touch with you all regarding the contract.” Adam said before he stood. “Make sure to also keep a copy of it once he signs as well. We will also discuss this with him as well. But as of now, with Triple H’s signature, this will be fully official.”
“Good. So now we’re good to go then?” Rhea immediately asked as she stood up along with the others.
“Yes, yes it is.”
“Great.”
“Pleasure doing business with you two.” Damián said as he shook both Nick and Adam’s hands, the others also doing the same before they all began to walk away from the conference room. As they did, Rhea heard her phone ring as she looked to see that Raquel was calling.
“Hey Raq, I just got out of the meeting, ‘sup?”
“Ay, al fin, loca. Shayna and I are waiting for you outside, we’re gonna go and pick up Zoey and then we’re heading out.”
“Alright, I’ll be there in a minute, see you.” She then hung up as she kept her phone in her pocket before she turned to Damian. “I’m heading out. If anything happens, text me.”
“I got you. Stay safe though.” Damian nodded at her as they fist bumped one another before she began to walk away. She managed to head outside the parking area where Raquel and Shayna had been waiting for her. Raquel was in the driver’s seat of her rental car as she decided to move to the passenger seat to allow Rhea to be the one driving.
“She’s still at the hotel?” Rhea asked as she put her seatbelt on.
“Yeah well, she overslept. I told her not to go to the gym last night but noooo, her dumbass didn’t wanna listen.” Shayna said as she texted her phone. “But I’m letting her know that we are on our way.”
“Where are we going anyways?” Rhea asked as she arched an eyebrow while she began to drive off.
“Whenever we want,” Raquel shrugged. “Chica, it’s a Saturday. We get to do whatever the fuck we want today. And plus, you need a break.”
“Thanks for reminding me again.” Rhea almost said sarcastically while Raquel gave her a look. After a while, they arrived at the hotel as they waited. Raquel was the one to call Zoey’s phone as they waited at the parking lot when they heard the door open.
“Shut up, I’m here!” Zoey said almost urgently as she got inside the car and sat with Shayna in the back. “What’s the occasion anyways? Y’all were rushing me like it’s the end of the world.”
“We are going to places. Wherever Rhe Rhe decided to take us to.” Raquel casually said. “And I’ll be paying.”
“Well as long as we get to chill, I’m cool with it.” Zoey simply commented before she perked up. “Oh by the way, Rips, I hope you’re ready for that match at Survivor Series against me.”
“Oh, you bet your ass that you’ll be in for Hell, I’ll tell you that.” Rhea scoffed as she fixed the rear view mirror before she drove away with them.
“Well, if Liv doesn’t get to you fi— ow!” Shayna yelped when Zoey smacked her in the shoulder.
“Hey, no Liv, no Dom, no Roman, not even a word of them. We talked about this.” Raquel told Shayna sternly.
“Sorry…”
The group continued to chat about many things until they stopped by a red light. Because Rhea’s phone was connected to the car’s Bluetooth radio, a call came through, and everyone could see that it was Roman calling.
“Girl, I thought you blocked him—“ Zoey blurted out while Rhea sighed and rubbed her head.
“Fuck my life.”
“Ah ah ah, you’re not answering.” Raquel quickly said. “Just let it ring.”
“Yeah, what she said.” Shayna immediately agreed.
“… guys, it might be something about the meeting—“
“Oh you have GOT to be kidding me, Rhea don’t you dare—“
“We signed a contract thirty minutes ago, so Reigns might have an update for me, Jesus.” Rhea snapped at them as she huffed. “Plus, it’s just one phone call. Won’t take that long.”
“… Okay, fine, answer it. But only if we hear it.” Raquel told her as she sighed deeply. Rhea only nodded as she went ahead and answered the call.
“Reigns, whatever you have to say, make it quick. I’m quite busy here.”
“Just wanted to let you know that Wiseman just spoke with Triple H on the phone. He wants to arrange a meeting this Monday with us.”
“Alright. We accept.” Rhea replied as she made a left turn, all the while Raquel, Shayna, and Zoey listened carefully. “Time and place?”
“Next Monday at 10 AM before Raw.”
“Good, we’ll be there.” Rhea was then about to hang up when Roman suddenly spoke.
“Also, I know you’re busy and everything but… if there’s a chance if we can meet up tomorrow and—“
“Nope, she’s busy with us, so bye bye!” Zoey immediately interrupted as she reached the screen and hung up on the call.
“Zoey what the fuck—“
“Hey, I’m saving your mental health girl. You’ll thank me later.” Zoey said as she smiled while Shayna tried her best not to laugh beside her.
Rhea stared at Zoey incredulously from the rear view mirror. “You did not just do that…”
“I mean, I would’ve done the same.”
“Raquel, please.”
“What? It’s true.”
“Look, Zoey’s right though.” Shayna told her. “Don’t think about them for now. Get your break, you can worry about your own shit later.”
Rhea sighed as she continued to drive away. The group spent most of their day hanging out in several places for the most part.
Up until nighttime, the group returned to the hotel as they got out of the car and walked together.
“We should do that more often,” Raquel commented as she carried her purse and her phone all in one hand. “I’m kinda liking this whole thing, to be honest with you guys.”
“Yeah, even better than dealing with shit at work.” Zoey snorted as she looked at the time in her watch. “I’m heading to the bar for a bit, does anyone wanna join?”
“I can” Shayna folded her hands inside her pockets before she turned to Raquel and Rhea. However, Raquel yawned as she shook her head.
“Sorry guys, as much as I want to, I need to take a few z’s… I didn’t sleep much last night.”
“I might go for a swim in the pool for a bit. It’s not that late anyways.” Rhea mumbled as she also looked at the time in her watch.
“Alright, if you guys change your minds, you know where to find us.” Shayna told them, her and Zoey bid the other two women farewell as they went to the bar while Raquel and Rhea went to the elevator.
“Told you this was a good idea.” Raquel said as she pressed the button of the elevator.
“Aside from Shayna and Zoey screaming and singing in the car like a pair of hyenas? Yeah, it was.”
“Oh please, you were literally headbanging whenever your favorite songs played the entire time.” Raquel snorted.
“We should do it more often- but only after I retain my title against Zoey.”
“Oh, you’re THAT confident, I see you.”
Both laughed as they went inside the elevator. As they did, Rhea felt her phone vibrate in her pocket as she blinked and retrieved it.
She had three texts. One from Dom, one from Roman.
And unexpectedly, a third one from Liv.
Her smile dropped as she sighed deeply while Raquel noticed. “You’re making a face, something’s wrong. Let me guess, Roman texted?”
“Close.”
“Roman and Dom?”
“Closer. One more.”
“… no way.”
“Yep.”
“What the hell does Liv want—?”
“I don’t know, and frankly, I do not care right now.” Rhea immediately said as she kept her phone inside her pocket once again before the elevator stopped as they both got out.
“Do you want me to talk to her? Because I can gladly deal with her again if I have to.” Raquel asked as they both went to Rhea’s room while Rhea went to unlock her door.
“No. No, I’ll be alright.” She reassured her as she exhaled. “I’ll deal with her on Monday.”
“Deal with her? Rhea what do you—“
“I spoke with Adam and apparently, Liv wants to settle this score with a non-title match. And because unfortunately I need to keep everything settled again, I had no choice but to accept.”
“Rhea, fighting Liv isn’t going to solve anything.”
“Well, try telling her that. She was the one that asked for the match.”
“Look- let me talk to her first. Tomorrow.” Raquel insisted to her. “That way maybe you don’t have to deal with her the hard way on Monday. You have a lot on your plate right now, and I want to help. I really do.”
Rhea stared at her for a moment as she pondered, considering her idea before she leaned against the wall. “You know, if only the circumstances were different, I’d have you join the Judgment Day.”
Raquel chuckled at that before her expression immediately changed to a serious one. “Yeah no— thanks, but no thanks.”
“That’s what they all say at first until they give in. I’m just saying.” Rhea said as she smirked while she opened her door. “Think about it.”
“Still a no- but hey, I’m open to hang out with you guys though. Except Dom, you know damn well that we will argue like little kids.”
“Hey, I can’t guarantee that he won’t be around. Even if we’re broken up, he still hangs out with Priest and Finn and only talks to me when needed, so.” Rhea said as she crossed her arms while Raquel scoffed and slowly walked away.
“Same thing with Reigns then?”
“Sadly, too. Although it’s a bit different, now that you mention it…”
“Oh come on, why do you always pick pussies?”
“Well, they are what they eat.”
“Chingona—“ Raquel almost howled laughing while Rhea also couldn’t help but laugh at her reaction, watching as her best friend walked to her room. “Alright, I’m hitting the hay. See you in the morning! Take care!”
“No promises!” Rhea replied back.
“You will promise!”
“No I won’t!”
With that, Rhea went into her room as she closed the door behind her. She placed her things on the table lamp beside her bed before she removed her shoes and plumped herself down on the bed as she looked up at the ceiling. She rested there only for a bit, considering whether she should head down to take a quick dive on the pool and then come back and sleep or just finish off her day for now. She looked at the time on her watch before she made her choice and went to the bathroom. She would rather go in the morning after she did her daily workout in the gym.
After a quick shower, she went to grab her suitcase as she had the towel wrapped around her body, looking for a set of comfortable clothes to sleep with. She managed to dig for a pair of panties, followed by a pair of black shorts. She then went to look for a shirt when she noticed one in particular inside her suitcase as she blinked and— wait, this one looked a bit bigger on her than usual...
Blinking, she took a closer look at it when realization dawned on her.
Roman’s shirt.
“Fuck.” She mumbled as she snatched a bathrobe from the bathroom and placed it around her immediately while also putting on her panties and shorts underneath. No, she can’t have his shirt here with her. She had to give it back to him. She was trying her best to give herself some space from him and everything else going on- what if he also went to try and look for it when he realizes that he doesn’t have that shirt with him?
She held the shirt in her hands, debating whether she should go and find him to give it back when she heard a knock on her door which startled her. “Fuck—“
“Ripley, it’s me.” She suddenly heard Roman’s voice from outside. At that, Rhea paused as she looked at the door, then at the shirt in her hands. “Look… I just want to talk.”
She remained silent, hoping that he would assume that she wasn’t there in the first place. However at the same time, she just wanted to open the door to him and tell him.
But tell him what, exactly?
“Rhea, I know you’re there. I just heard you curse earlier. Look, if you don’t want to talk the —“
“Wait, hold on.” She immediately called out as she replaced the bathrobe with another shirt of hers from her suitcase. She then looked down at his shirt before she took a deep breath as she once again took it and went to open the door.
“Hey.”
“Hey. Are you doing alright?”
“… I’ve been worse.” She only mumbled before she looked down at his shirt and gave it to him. “I uh, I packed it by accident… I figured I should’ve returned it to you.”
“No. No, it’s fine. I… I didn’t come here for that, anyways,” He said to her. Rhea went silent at that as she looked down moment before she looked up. “I wanted to check on you.”
“Look… I’m sorry, it’s just…” She mumbled, trying to find the right words to say. “I’m just trying to keep it together at this point.”
“I know. I get it. It’s been rough, but look, I’m here if you need anything and—”
“No, Reigns, it’s…” Rhea trailed off as she sighed deeply. For some unknown reason, she felt a knot form on her throat as she tried to compose herself as she spoke. “…I’m sorry, I don’t want to sound like a dick, but…I need some space. I need some time. Alone.”
“...Well, if that's what you want- if that’s what you need, then that’s what i’ll give you.” He softly cupped her face before placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, as if saying goodbye. He then gave her one last look before walking away, right when tears began to fall down her cheeks.
“Fuck.” She cursed underneath her breath as she went back inside her room and locked the door behind her. She allowed her tears to fall from her eyes as she rested her back against the door. She then looked down at her hand and realized that she still had his shirt.
He never took it back.
Without a word, she simply went to turn off the lamp in her room before she laid down in bed, holding the piece of cloth close to her and even hugging it for dear life as she laid on her side. Had she made the right choice?

for the sleepover, a bit of a throwback, but maybe movie night with best friend!alex kerner that accidentally becomes more 👀
Tumblr media
GOD the way this gif launched me right back into my alex era, I would fully let him ruin my life and just say thanks... he's really The Boy
warnings: sexual tension, awkward alex being awkward and just a touch pervy, implied smut, slutty reader lmao
He wasn't sure what to do, or say— or think— when a sex scene came on. Tensely glancing at you sitting next to him on the couch— bare feet up on the cushions and your knees against your chest, eyes staring forward and reflecting the blue-ish glow of the erotic scene before you, hand mindlessly moving from the bowl of popcorn to your mouth and back— he wondered if he should just ignore it, or address the tension directly with a woah, this is a little awkward, or act super cool like hey look, they're having sex, I totally do that all the time.
Okay, acting super cool was not an option: if he knew how to do that, he would just do it all the time.
But he figured he was better off saying something, because it seemed like it was getting more awkward the longer the silence went on— at least, it was for him, as he wrung his clammy hands together and bounced his leg and nearly winced as the couple on screen grinded and writhed together on top of silk sheets. His mind couldn't help but supply images of how it might look if the two of you did that... and his dick couldn't help but react. He internally scolded it to mind its own goddamn business just as he turned to you to blurt out something casual to say about all this.
"I didn't know this movie had a—" he began sheepishly.
"Oh, that's hot," you commented, at the same time.
"What?" you both said to each other, then laughing at the way you'd spoken over each other twice in a row.
"Sorry," you said, "what'd you say?"
"I— I was just saying that I didn't know this movie had a sex scene," he replied, swallowing with a dry throat as he awkwardly pressed, "what, uh... what did you say?"
"Oh, I just said it was hot," you smirked, looking a bit embarrassed to have to repeat it. "I mean when he, you know, sucked on her nipple— that was hot."
Alex felt his face heat up and hoped the dark room meant that you couldn't see him turning beet red. "Uh... yeah, I guess it is..."
"Sorry if that's weird to say," you dismissed, "but I mean, that's why they put it in the movie, right? 'Cause it's hot."
"I... guess so." You mean they didn't put it in the movie specifically to torture me, right now?
"Now I feel dumb," you winced, "like, kinda outed myself for being into that— I mean, you're looking at me like I'm crazy..."
"S-sorry," he choked, "you're not crazy, I, uh— I guess I just never thought about that."
"You never thought about putting your mouth on a tit?" you chuckled. "Alex, it's all you knew how to do for the first, like, year of your life."
"I don't mean— I've thought about that! I've, you know, I've done that with girls before," he defended. "Although I'm usually trying not to think about breastfeeding when I do, so thanks for that."
You snorted, "welcome."
"I meant that I hadn't thought about, you know, like... what you're into," he said. "We don't really talk about it."
"Yeah we do!" you frowned.
"No, we talk about who you're into," Alex corrected, "but it doesn't go much further than 'he came over last night' or whatever."
"Yeah, sorry if that put, like, some awful image in your mind," you shook your head as if to shake off the thought. "Didn't mean to be weird."
"It's fine, it's not an awful image," he said— but he wished he could've said it differently even before you reacted with a mischievous grin.
"Oh, so you like thinking about it!" you accused, suddenly setting aside the popcorn and sitting up to lean closer to him and poke him in the side as he nervously defended himself.
"Wait— I didn't mean like— stop!"
"You're into it now, huh! Thinking about somebody sucking my tits? Perv," you teased.
"Shut up, I didn't mean that— I was just saying—" he stumbled nervously; his cock was just happy you were touching him at all, and he awkwardly flailed around as he tried to fight off your teasing touches and hide the tent in his jeans.
"Imagining other guys licking my perky, hard, sensitive nipples," you continued anyways, doing your best mockingly-sensual voice, like some kind of parody porno.
"Not— not other guys," he blurted out his correction.
He was kind of hoping you wouldn't hear it, but you stopped your teasing dead in your tracks. Everything stopped— except the movie, of course, which had since moved on to a normal scene but was going totally ignored. "What?" you asked softly.
Alex choked on his own throat. "I— that's— um—"
"Were you thinking about... doing it to me?" you continued.
"No," he lied.
"Is that why you're hard?"
He covered his groin with his hands, but it was a bit late for that; and it wasn't just the reflection of the TV that made that sparkle shine in your eye....
"Oh, Alex," you purred, "I thought you knew you could've just asked, I don't mind..."
"Yeah, but," he sighed shakily, "that's not what I wanted from you, okay? I know you let guys... I mean, I know you sometimes— uh—"
You raised your eyebrows expectantly, waiting for him to finish the thought.
"I mean, you hook up with guys. And it doesn't mean anything— and some of them are your friends, some of them are my friends, actually..."
You bit your lip, and his cock jumped in his jeans.
"And I figured if I told you that I wanted to, um, try something, with you, you'd probably let me. But that's not what I want."
"So you... don't want to put your mouth on my tits?"
"I— I just don't want it to not mean anything," he finally admitted. "If we did, I mean. If you wanted to. Hypothetically."
You scooted closer, making him feel cornered on his own couch. "What would you want it to mean?"
"I would... I mean, I guess I'd, uh," he stalled, scratching the back of his neck. "I'd want it to mean you're my girlfriend?"
The longest second in the world passed, before you smiled, and he hoped that was a good sign. "You're so traditional," you said, sort of mocking but sort of sweet, too. "Don't wanna fool around with just any old girl, huh?"
"Well, you're not—" he began having to catch his breath and start over when you suddenly began to straddle his lap, looking down at him with that up to no good look in your eyes. "You're not any old girl."
"Definitely not," you smirked. "I haven't been somebody's girlfriend in a long time— and I've never been your girlfriend. What can I expect? Aside from getting my tits sucked on."
"Uh— well, I'd kiss you," he decided, gingerly resting his hands on your back and hearing his voice get quieter like he was sharing a secret. "And... take you on dates."
"Mm," you hummed approvingly, beginning to toy with his hair a bit; his cock throbbed at the affection, and he wondered if you could feel it sitting in his lap like this.
"I'd... I'd do whatever you wanted, really," he laughed thinly, rapid heartbeats rattling in his chest. "I'd do anything for you. I think I've already told you that."
"Yeah," you breathed, "you did. Nobody's ever been as nice to me as you are, Alex."
"I figure that's why you don't want to be my girlfriend," he offered with a sigh, but you lifted his chin to make him look at you— and he figured he looked just as pathetically desperate as he felt.
Thankfully, you didn't seem to mind; you gave him a kiss, gentle and sweet, and he felt his shoulders sink in relief as he kissed you back. He held you tighter, pulling you in for more, but you broke away and he chased after you for just a second before he caught himself. "Sounds nice, actually," you decided. "When can we start?"
"Um... right now, I think," he replied, and you smiled wider.
"Where's our first date gonna be?" you wondered.
"At this rate, I think it's gonna be the right across the hall in my bedroom."

“Good morning, Seokmin. Why do you look like you managed to get zero sleep last night?”
Seokmin laughed into his coffee as he set his bag down at his desk in their department office. “Uh, that might be because I didn’t.”
“You didn’t?” Yuna, one of the other teachers in the department, looked at him concernedly as she turned on her own computer. “Why? Don’t tell me you left your marking to the last minute again.”
Seokmin sipped his drink, contemplating for a moment, before just smiling. “You caught me there."
Telling the truth and saying that he'd been staying awake to talk with one of his not-quite-friends by the river until sunrise about anything and everything would have been weird, anyway.
Before the woman had the chance to tell him off, however, the door to the department office swung open, and one of the other literature teachers swept in amongst a whirl of papers.
“Good morning, you two,” Hayoung chirped, dumping her papers down at her desk before grinning at them, pushing her glasses up as she bent down to pick up the papers that had been dropped. “Hey, why does Seokmin look like he’s half dead?”
Seokmin rolled his eyes at the two women, turning to his own computer and attempting to turn the monitor on. “You’re both so mean.”
Hayoung just laughed, shuffling her papers together and pulling out her own chair to sit down. “We care about you, brat. That’s all. Did something happen?”
“No,” Seokmin said, typing in his user and password. “I’m fine, I promise. Just procrastinated marking my children’s homework, that’s all.”
“Ah,” Hayoung said wisely. “Totally understandable. I do that all the time.”
Yuna sighed, shaking her head. “You two are utterly insane. I could never leave my marking that late.”
“Good morning!” another voice trilled, and all three literature teachers looked up to see another one of their colleagues hop into the room, looking buzzed up on far too much caffeine. “Did you hear that they’re already interviewing people to replace the teachers that left?”
“Minjun,” Yuna remarked dryly as the man accidentally bumped into Hayoung’s table and knocked over her pile of papers. “Why are you so hyper so early in the morning?”
“They’re already interviewing potential new teachers?” Seokmin asked interestedly. At the desk next to him, Hayoung wailed over the fallen papers that she’d just picked up. “That was fast.”
“I know right?” Minjun said, setting down his bag and his coat at his desk. “Apparently they’ve already found the new teachers they wanna hire for the music department. One of them is starting in a couple of weeks, actually.”
Seokmin shook his head. “That’s insane. I hope they’re prepared to deal with being thrown into the curriculum halfway through the year.”
Minjun laughed. “Yeah." He jabbed his finger in the direction of the door. "Also, the first class of the day started three minutes ago.”
All three literature teachers jumped at his words, looking over at the clock before collectively scrambling to gather their things and get to their students.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Seokmin said despairingly, accidentally stepping on some of Hayoung’s papers as he left the room. “Sorry, Hayoung!”
Minjun just continued laughing as he waved them out of the office. “I don’t have any classes until the afternoon. Have a nice day, you guys!”
Yuna yelled back something intelligible as both she and Seokmin hurried down the corridor, Hayoung still picking up her papers in the office.
"I'll see you at break," Yuna said quickly before pushing open the door to her classroom, instantly calling out for her children to settle down.
Seokmin shook his head, smiling, before walking into his own class too, pushing the door open with his foot and carrying his lesson materials in his arms.
"Yes, yes, I'm here now," he said, and the delighted cries of "Mr. Lee!" made him smile even wider. "Good morning, has everyone's morning been good?"
He walked to the front of the classroom, humming interestedly and laughing as some of the children told him very seriously that they wouldn't mind at all if his lesson killed them so early on in the day just so they wouldn't have to proceed with their other classes.
This particular grade class was, in fact, his favourite, and teaching these students always managed to bring a smile to his face purely because he could tell that so many of these bright children would go on to become adults that he could proudly tell others he had the privilege of teaching in their youth.
“Today, we’ll be starting a new unit,” Seokmin announced as he set his things down in the classroom, “and it’ll be on poems.”
There were a mixture of groans and cheers in response to his announcement, and Seokmin grinned, clasping his hands together and walking across the front of the class.
“I know, I know, but poetry is fun, I promise! Besides, I managed to convince them to look at a more interesting poem, which I'm sure you'll enjoy.”
His statement was met with unimpressed stares, but Seokmin just grinned wider, moving back to the desk to pick up a marker and then walking over to the whiteboard.
He uncapped the dry marker and wrote the word ‘Homer’ on the board, drawing a circle around it. “Now, what do you think of when you see this name? Yes, Hyeongjung?”
“Homer Simpson!”
Seokmin paused, narrowing his eyes playfully at the boy. “Okay, other than the Simpsons. How is the name Homer significant in literature? Jiyeon, what do you think?”
“Didn’t he write the Iliad?”
Seokmin smiled, writing ‘Iliad’ beside the name. “Well done. We don’t actually know if he did write the Iliad, but that epic poem, along with the Odyssey, are often attributed to Homer, so we call him the author anyway. The ‘Odyssey’ is what we’ll be focusing most on,” he said, writing down both the poems on the board, “but first, we’ll be taking a brief look at Greek mythology.”
There were gasps of excitement amongst the children, and Seokmin grinned again.
“Now, can anyone name some of the Ancient Greek gods to me?”
───────────── ‘✷,
“See you tomorrow, you guys,” Seokmin said to the last few teachers still in the office as he shouldered his bag, getting ready to leave work for the day. “How long are you all planning to stay here?”
Yuna just hummed, clacking away at her keyboard. “I haven’t finished making quotation flashcards for my children yet. And I need to print and laminate them, too.”
Seokmin winced in sympathy. “Good luck. I tried making quotation flashcards for some of my classes last year, and it’s a lot of work.”
“Yeah, I know,” Yuna laughed. She waved a hand in Seokmin’s direction, not even looking at him. “I’ll be fine. You, however, need to get some sleep, Mr. Lee. You still look dead on your feet. See you tomorrow.”
“See you,” Seokmin said, taking the statement for the dismissal that it was, smiling. “Don’t work yourself too hard, okay?”
And with that, he stepped out of the office, fishing out his phone and texting him a quick "on my way!". The elder had messaged him, around an hour ago, asking if Seokmin wanted to meet up in one of the cafes near Seokmin’s school, and of course he’d said yes. Having coffee with Jeonghan was always fun, because it was never really about the coffee and more about the talking.
It had been a while since he’d met up with Jeonghan one-on-one, anyways, so it would be fun.
“Jeonghan hyung!”
The moment Seokmin stepped into the cafe, the door’s wind chimes tinkling in his wake, he called out to Jeonghan and grinned as the elder looked up with a wave.
“Seokmin-ah,” Jeonghan said, smiling as he gestured to the chair opposite him for Seokmin to sit down. “How are you doing? How was work?”
"It was okay," Seokmin shrugged, before beaming as Jeonghan slid over a croissant. "Aw, hyung, did you buy this for me?"
"You have to pay me back," Jeonghan said, but he was smiling fondly. In all the years that Seokmin had known Jeonghan, he'd never really had to pay him back for anything he bought him. "This place is crazy expensive."
Seokmin just laughed, instantly pulling apart the croissant before his eyes lit up as Jeonghan also slid over a teacup, seemingly procuring it out of nowhere. "Why are we here then?"
"You like their mochas, don't you?" Jeonghan said, tapping the mug. "See, Seokmin, I know these things."
"I'm so honoured you pay so much attention to me, hyung," Seokmin said, half teasing, and happily sipped his coffee. "Mmm. Delicious."
Jeonghan grinned.
It was earlier than Seokmin normally left work, and there were still people milling around in the cafe. The sun was lingering in the sky, not quite setting yet but also not quite high enough to look like it was doing anything other than drowsily going to bed, casting golden-orange light through the windows and across the tables. The buzz of chatter created a lively ambience, but it was a gentle liveliness that allowed Seokmin's shoulders to relax and smile over at Jeonghan as the elder leaned his elbows on the table, eyes glittering.
"Speaking of knowing things, though," Jeonghan said, and Seokmin's shoulders reluctantly tensed once again. "I think you know what other thing I know about you, right?"
Seokmin groaned, about to faceplant into the table before he realised that a) they were in public and b) he had a hot coffee right where his head would have landed. So he settled with kicking Jeonghan under the table again.
"Hey!" Jeonghan swiftly kicked him back and then carried on talking, grinning deviously. "Joshua talked about it with you, didn't he? During the last Game Night."
"Don't kick me back! I—wait, what?" Seokmin paused, frowning. "He… didn't talk about it at all."
Now that Seokmin thought about it, Joshua never brought up their encounters in conversations. Not the flower incident, or the gym incident, or the awkward "I've been asking all our friends about you" incident. It was as if he wasn't making a big deal out of it, waiting for Seokmin to talk about it first, making sure that Seokmin was comfortable with broaching the subject and if he wasn't, then Joshua wouldn't say anything.
Wow. Seokmin blinked. He found himself really… touched.
Jeonghan, however, frowned, looking put-out by Joshua's thoughtfulness. "Aw. I thought he'd try to talk to you about it. That’s a shame.”
Seokmin looked over warily, slowly taking a bite out of his croissant, flakes of pastry getting all around his mouth. “Why is that a shame? What did you want him to say?”
“I wanted him to ask you about it, of course!” Jeonghan said. “I wanted him to ask you why you were doing that, because he kept asking me about it instead. And I said to him, “You gotta just ask Seokmin himself, Joshuji. I don’t know anything about it.”, but it appears that he didn’t follow my advice.”
“You just want to know yourself, don’t you?” Seokmin said. He wiped at the crumbs on his cheeks, failing in his attempts to clean his face since his fingers were all flake-covered too. “Don’t lie. Joshua hyung’s really sweet and chill. You’re the nosy one.”
Jeonghan laughed, not looking the least bit offended. “Well, you’re kind of right. But I’m still trying to get him to talk to you.”
“Huh?” Seokmin frowned. “Why?”
Jeonghan just hummed, giving Seokmin a tight-lipped smile and shook his head, drumming his fingers against the table. “Did anything interesting happen at work today? I do wanna know how your day went, Seokmin.”
It was a clear sign to change the topic, and Seokmin decided to take it. With enough wheedling, he would probably have been able to push Jeonghan for the answers he wanted on the Joshua thing, but he didn’t really have the energy. Jeonghan was weak for him, but not that weak. And after a long day at work, Seokmin was kinda tired.
“Um, apparently they’re already interviewing for the potential new teachers,” Seokmin said. “And they’ve found replacement music teachers that are gonna start in a few weeks.”
“New music teachers?” Jeonghan asked, tilting his head interestedly. “I see.”
Seokmin nodded, sipping his coffee. “It’s all just rumours for now. Minjun’s really good at getting accurate pieces of information, though, so there’s a pretty good chance that it’s the truth.”
“Minjun?” Jeonghan watched as Seokmin set down his coffee mug, before promptly swiping it and taking a sip thoughtfully, ignoring Seokmin’s indignant cry. “Why does that name sound familiar?”
Seokmin swiftly snatched back his coffee, taking another sip while pouting at Jeonghan. "He's been the head of my department for years, hyung. Maybe you heard it from me?"
"No, I think Joshua had a friend called Minjun," Jeonghan said, watching blankly as Seokmin finished the rest of his croissant. "They went to uni together. They were pretty decent friends, I think, promising to help each other with job offers and stuff."
"Well." Seokmin shrugged. "I dunno. Minjun's never mentioned a friend named Joshua. Maybe it's another Minjun?"
Jeonghan's gaze focused back on Seokmin again, and he grinned. "Maybe. Anyway, what about lessons? What were you teaching your kids this time?”
Seokmin beamed, visibly lighting up at the chance to talk about his students. “Oh! You know that one class which is my utter favourite? I’m going over the ‘Odyssey’ with them now, and we were studying Ancient Greek mythology today. Everyone has a weird fixation on Poseidon, though, and I gotta find a way to break it to them that he’s kinda as much of an asshole as Zeus is.”
Jeonghan snorted. “Tell them that story of how he kidnapped a woman, maybe?”
Seokmin blinked innocently. “Which one?”
That made the elder laugh, eyes twinkling. “Did you tell them the story of the golden apple, too? That one’s always fun. It’s like an introduction to the Trojan War, too.”
“I did! You know, the first thing I did was ask them, ‘Who is the prettiest god’ and the amount of people who said Aphrodite… like, oh boy. You’d think that people have learned their lesson by now,” Seokmin said. “But, did you hear about how Aphrodite isn’t just one type of beauty? She is beauty, embodying everything that it means to be beautiful. So she’s mysterious and kind and liked by everyone, and she’s beautiful in everyone’s eyes.”
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, huh?” Jeonghan said, leaning forward. His laughter had died down, and he looked curiously invested in what Seokmin was saying. “So… you could say she’s beautiful and… elusive at the same time?”
“Exactly!” Seokmin chirped. “She's an enigma. She changes to fit everyone else. Her beauty fits the eye of every beholder. In a really mysterious, it-kinda-makes-sense but also it-doesn’t-make-sense kind of way.”
Jeonghan quirked a grin. “Really? Tell me more, I wanna know.”
If it were anyone else saying that, with that decidedly devious grin on their face, Seokmin would have been more suspicious. But Jeonghan always either looked like he was plotting something or was about to fall asleep, and so Seokmin didn't think anything of it.
Besides, if Jeonghan was plotting something, then the results would normally reveal themselves eventually. Most of the time, it was for a good cause, anyway.
Hopefully.
───────────── ‘✷,
"Kwon Soonyoung," Seokmin muttered through gritted teeth as he plodded down the street,"I am going to murder you."
Seokmin was late to school.
Well, he was late to work, but his work essentially was a school, so it was the same thing. And, like most misfortunes in Seokmin’s life, it was kind of all Soonyoung’s fault.
Soonyoung had fallen ill, having caught some sort of cold that rendered him unable to even move his head. Seokmin said it was from that time he’d worked overtime and had to come home in the rain with no umbrella. Soonyoung strongly disagreed. With pillows thrown at Seokmin's head.
Nevertheless, Seokmin had had to take care of him that morning, running around while trying to get ready for work and dig out their tissue boxes from somewhere and give Soonyoung some painkillers with a glass of water and quickly make some canned soup because if Soonyoung didn’t have at least a bowl of soup on the first morning of a sickness, then he’d be ill for an entire month and complain to Seokmin the entire time.
By the end of it, the soup was only half eaten and most of the glass of water had made its way onto the floor and Seokmin hadn’t had time to have breakfast or brush his hair. And he was late.
The first lesson of the day was already in full swing by the time he managed to trudge into school, having given up on actually getting there on time, shooting a quick email to the office to get them to send a sub to his class. They’d better get used to subs just in case, anyway. Soonyoung managed to sneeze on him a total of fifteen times in an hour. There was a pretty good chance that Seokmin was sick too.
“Mr. Lee!” Dowoon, one of the history teachers, called out in surprise when Seokmin dragged himself into the staffroom, already exhausted. “You’re not normally here in the mornings.”
“Mr. Kang,” Seokmin greeted, immediately going over to the instant coffee machine. “Yeah, I had to take care of my sick friend this morning, so I ended up running late. I’ve given up on getting to my first two classes. It’s a double period,” he elaborated, “so it’s the same class of children. I’ll let them have two hours of free time to themselves.”
Dowoon chuckled, downing his own instant coffee. “You’re very generous,” he said. “Oh, did you hear that the new music teacher has started? Just began today, I believe.”
“Already?” Seokmin asked, surprised, taking out his coffee. “Wow, that was fast. Minjun was telling us that they’d start in two weeks, and I guess he was right.”
“That man and his crazy hunches,” Dowoon laughed, shaking his head. He put the empty paper cup into the bin, walking towards the door. “Well, enjoy your own free hour, Seokmin. I’ll be off now.”
“Have a nice day!” Seokmin called back.
And then the history teacher left, leaving a thoughtful silence in his wake.
It was calm in the staffroom, as it normally was on mornings. There were a few teachers sitting around, but most were in lessons, and the sun streamed into the largely empty room, casting light on the ornamental bookshelf and the weirdly shaped fake potted plant in the corner.
Seokmin’s lips twitched upwards. Joshua would have probably liked the strange decor in their staff room.
He leisurely finished his coffee, looking out through the windows at the green field by the side of the school, watching the children playing sports. Then, throwing the empty cup away, Seokmin shouldered his bag again and walked out of the room. There was still a decent amount of time before his next class, and he basically had the entirety of the school to himself to wander around in. He could snoop into wherever he wanted.
Well. He grinned, turning down one corridor. Maybe it was time to visit the music department. Perhaps he’d find something interesting to tell Seungkwan.
The sound of singing filled his ears as he entered the music hallway, and he instinctively chuckled, recognising the tune of the school anthem they were singing. It must be one of the younger years in class right now, he mused. They sounded like they were learning the song for the first time.
He carefully peered into the classroom through the window of the door, chuckling as he watched the teacher conduct the children as they dutifully sang along to the lyrics that were on the board. He drew away, however, when the sound of a door clicking open echoed from around the corner, and voices sounded.
"—lively community here, sir, and we think that you'd be a brilliant addition to the music department. We could use your knowledge here to help strengthen our students."
That was the voice of the head of the music department, which Seokmin recognised. Her voice was fluid, smooth and gentle and Minjun said that she'd been a world-famous opera singer before settling down at their school. Like most things Minjun said, it was probably true.
"Thank you very much, Miss," a new voice said, and Seokmin stilled. He blinked, not sure whether he really did recognise that voice or whether his brain was playing tricks on him.
"Of course," the woman said. "We hope you feel welcome here in our school."
There were more pleasantries exchanged, and then the sound of the office door swinging shut. Seokmin panicked as dress shoes clicked down the corridor, closer and closer to where he was, feeling oddly like a child having been caught eavesdropping as he straightened and stepped away from the wall, before accidentally ending up colliding right into the man who had been walking around the corner.
"Hello!" The man said in surprise. Steady hands reached out to firmly hold onto his shoulders, and Seokmin was quickly pulled away from a warm and solid chest and found himself staring into big, brown eyes instead. Big, brown eyes that widened in shock and then melted into a look that was so soft and so familiar that it made Seokmin's heart immediately begin to beat faster.
Seokmin sputtered, temporarily speechless. "Joshua?"
